Pay: $20/hour

Position: Data Entry Specialist

Full Time

Backstop IntellX is hiring a data entry specialist to process fund documents. No experience is needed, but you should be decent at navigating basic software. Tech-savvy, attention to detail, and some basic data entry experience is necessary.

This is a fully remote position from 8-5 Central Time. 40 hours per week as a W2 worker.

This is one of the few legit data entry positions that are fully remote. Those claiming high pay for a random dentist’s office are likely scams.

If you have data entry experience and you’re yet to be replaced by AI, go for this one. Many companies are fully automating data entry nowadays. So get it while you can get it. Data entry seems to be way harder to find real work for because of scams nowadays.

Summer time means PT jobs galore!

It’s time to travel. This means you can expect hiring from travel, CS, and related industries.

This page will be updated throughout the week as new work from home job opportunities are discovered.

Every job listing is personally vetted to ensure that it’s legit in order to make the list.

But even as thorough as I can be, some unforeseen, low quality work may slip through the cracks. If you find any, please let me know and I’ll remove it ASAP.

I am not paid for these listings nor are they sponsored. There are also no affiliate links.

They’re just literal, legit, WFH opportunities for the people. By the person. For the person.

BTW, if you know of any good WFH job leads, post a comment and I’ll check it out.

(And if you found this list handy, please share with your friends. It’s the most you could do 😁).

Happy WFH hunting!

6/3 – Customer Service (Conduent)

Conduent is hiring for CS reps in a call center. The company is a third-party for over 500 governments and some of the biggest companies in the world.

The position offers PTO, insurance benefits, discounts, and other nice perks. It’s a full time position with NO weekend work. There’s also paid training.

Work shifts are nice with no shifts that are too early or late. Shift availability is from M-F. The earliest shift is 8AM. The latest is 8PM. So it’s pretty nice.

You’ll need a GED or HS diploma. You’ll be working with enrollment requests, status changes, complaints, etc. You’ll have to answer questions following basic guidelines. It’s basically a call center with a service support role.

Pay: $16/hour.

Requirements: GED or HS diploma.

Skills: CS skills. Technical skills. Phone skills. But they offer paid training. Having some experience will help get you in.

Equipment: Computer with headphones. Reliable Internet.

Expected work hours per week: 40 hours.

Max pay potential per month: $2560.

Min pay per month: $2000.

Pay average per month (based on reviews): $2250.

Language: English.

Location: US.

Overall thoughts

This is a decent call center position that offers great benefits without crazy hours. If you’re comfortable with talking on the phone, this place looks good on your resume. It’s a high volume position that’ll keep you busy, but the pay is decent.

Apply here.

6/1 – Telus Ad Rater

As usual, we need to start off with our monthly Telus post. This is to bring awareness for those who are just jumping into their online search for the perfect remote gig.

Even now, they’re still hiring US raters for moderation tasks. There definitely has been a drop in work available, plus, they’ve even fired a ton of workers recently.

But if you’re trying to get in, now’s your chance.

There are 4 positions- US Rater 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, and 1.4. The difference is that 1.1 is a W2 position. 1.4 is the same thing. The others are freelance. So if you want to be a permanent employee with some basic benefits, apply for W2 only.

Telus International is hiring workers in the US for ad rating. This is basically robotic tasks where you’ll provide feedback on search engine results, websites, images, videos, and other content.

Pay: $14/hour.

Requirements: No degrees required other than your HS diploma (which they do require you to upload). They also require that you’ve been in the US for 5 years, which is most of you. You should also know basic current events happening in the online space (memes, trends, colloquial words, etc.)

Skills: Having moderate internet skills and being tech savvy is highly recommended because they have a difficult exam you must pass to get hired.

Equipment: Equipment isn’t provided, but you’ll only need a basic computer with a reliable connection to do the tasks.

Expected hours per week: 10-28 hours. But sometimes they have extra hours available if they have a lot of tasks.

Max pay potential per month: $1568.

Min pay per month: $560.

Pay average per month (based on reviews): $1000.

Language: English.

Location: US.

Overall thoughts

Telus is a well-known AI company in the online space. With the advent of AI taking over, the ability to secure a job is probably diminished. The work is pretty boring and routine, but if you enjoy that, it’s easy money while you’re online. They also increase pay if your state’s minimum wage is higher than their base pay (like CA).

It’s a WFH position with easy, routine tasks. No phones or CS!

But recent reports say that they just outright not hire for states with high minimum wage. So you may have some trouble if you’re in CA or NY.

Recently, there have been a batch of new tasks on the platform, so there’s been plenty of work available. They’ve even offered bonus hours up to 35 hours per week rather than their standard 20.

If you’re always on the PC, this is a perfect way to supplement your income. No way it’ll replace a full time income, but part time is all good. You set your own hours, but there may not always be work available (“NTA”).

It’s an easy 1K per month in your spare time.

Regardless, Telus is one of the most popular WFH PT work on the Internet. It’s a great place to start if you’re looking for a legit, WFH position.

There are multiple positions on their job portal. If you’re in the US, look for US Rater 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, or 1.4. They’re all the same job position. The difference is that some are W2 while others are 1099 (independent contractor). W2 is obviously the preferred choice.

Apply here.

Expected hours per week: 40 hours.

Max pay potential per month: ~$2640.

Pay average per month (based on reviews): ~$2400.

Language: English.

Location: US.

Overall thoughts

You’ll be working students and their parents responding to technical issues with K12 software, hardware, and networking systems. Most of the support will be through the phone. You should be able to handle high volume calls, provide advice, assist customers with SOPs, using ticketing/CRM software, and more.

This is a legit WFH position for a company that’s well established in the remote learning space. So the requirements are a bit more strict than other positions.

But if you enjoy the industry, try out Stride. You’ll be helping students learn. I mean, it really stands out from regular CS because of the impact you’ll be making, right?

Apply here.

5/7 – World Travel Holdings (Customer Care Reps)

This position is a good entry level position for those new to customer service. If you like travel, you may want to check out this job opportunity with World Travel Holdings (WTH).

They’re currently hiring CS reps for inbound calls from customers. This means you handle the call influx from their customers that have questions or issues that need resolving. Pretty simple stuff.

If you’ve done any kind of online support, this is no different other than it’s a travel industry position.

The nice part about this gig is that they provide the equipment. So you don’t need to shell out your own cash for gear.

Pay: $14/hour base. This can be increased if your state pays more.

Requirements: Tech savvy, good communication, ability to multitask, dedicated workspace, receptive, dexterous, and willing to learn.

Skills: You’ll be trained by their team, so be ready to absorb all that info like a sponge. This job also requires internet with at least 5 up/10 down speeds. This is entry level work, so you don’t need experience with CS.

Equipment: Equipment is provided for remote work (PC + headset).

Expected hours per week: 35-45 based on needs. They do have some schedule requirements such as scheduled training, shift-bids, and post training. You won’t have days off in a row.

Max pay potential per month: ~$3000.

Min pay per month: ~$1960.

Pay average per month (based on reviews): ~$2720.

Language: English.

Location: US. (They don’t hire in AK, CA, HI, KY, ND, OH, OR, and PA.)

Overall thoughts

This is a good WFH job for those without experience. They offer paid training, incentives, benefits package, and even discounted travel!

Their job description says you’ll be taking 2-3 calls per hour, so the volume is a lot lower than other similar positions. But that means more dedicated service quality per customer. You’ll b dealing with things like changing reservations, following SOPs, meeting goals, working with chats/emails/phone, working with teams online, etc.

Check the full details here.

5/5 – Vimeo (Support Specialist II)

If you’ve ever used YouTube, Vimeo is a direct competitor. How would it feel to work for one the largest VOD platforms on the planet? (The pay is up there too).

They’re hiring for a Support Specialist position which is completely remote!

Pay: $54,000/year (about $26/hour).

Requirements: You’ll need to have experience with CS. They require 2 years experience with customer service working with a variety of online tools/platforms (Zendesk).

Skills: You’ll need to be very tech savvy. You’ll be working with ticket queues, documenting, improving the products, tracking/reporting, run point on outages, troubleshooting complex issues, understand how video delivery works, familiarity with technical concepts, good written/spoken communication skills, familiarity with tickets/phone/chat support.

Equipment: You’ll need to have a decent computer, headset w/ mic, and a stable Internet connection. Having dual monitors with plenty of screen space would likely be ideal for this position IMO.

Expected hours per week: 40 or more. You’ll be working Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday. One weekend day is needed.

Max pay potential per month: $6500.

Min pay per month: $4500.

Pay average per month (based on reviews): $5000.

Language: English.

Location: US.

Overall thoughts

Vimeo is a video platform with over 300M unique users. It’s based in NY. They offer full benefits with a wide range of perks. They also include commission for some positions. This is a prestigious, top-notch WFH position. So don’t expect it to be easy where you can screw around like many of these other positions. You’ll be doing real work!

If you’re interested, apply here.

5/1 – Telus Ad Rater

As usual, we need to start off with our monthly Telus post. This is to bring awareness for those who are just jumping into their online search for the perfect remote gig.

Apply here.

April showers brings May flowers. Welcome to another month of WFH job postings!

BTW, if you know of any good WFH job leads, post a comment and I’ll check it out.

(And if you found this list handy, please share with your friends. It’s the most you could do 😁).

Happy WFH hunting!

4/22/23

Customer Service Specialist – Direct Interactions

Direct Interactions is hiring for a CS position. This is a third-party company that provides services for clients within various contact centers nationwide.

The job is your standard CS work. You’ll be processing insurance claims, answering calls, helping resolve customers issues, and working with multiple tasks at the same time. It’s your standard WFH CS position.

You’ll be a W2 employee so you get PTO.

Pay: $15 per hour paid biweekly.

Requirements: GED, current resident in the US, background check. No CA or NY residents.

Skills: Tech savvy, proficient with Excel, Word, Outlook MS products, able to use a computer efficiently, experience with online environments, 30 WPM, attention to detail, CS experience with escalated situations.

Equipment: USB headset with noise cancelling (no 3.5mm headsets), newer smartphone (within past 3 years), high speed ethernet connection, Windows 10 or higher with at least 8GB RAM and 2.00GHz, no WiFi connections (only wired), secondary monitor recommended

Expected hours per week: 20 hours.

Max pay potential per month: Varies.

Min pay per month: $1400 (based on $15/h at 20h/week).

Pay average per month (based on reviews): $1000

Language: English.

Location: US (No CA or NY).

Overall thoughts

It’s your standard run of the mill CS WFH job. If you’ve been in this industry before, you know that you’ll need thick skin to deal with unruly customers.

On the other hand, it does provide you with at least 20 hours per week at a decent wage. You’re also a W2 employee so you get PTO accrual.

Reviews for this company are mixed. But if you’re interested and you’ve got the gear, it’s worth a shot. They do require some degree of experience in CS, so if you’re green, you may want to look elsewhere. CS can be very hard on newbies.

APPLY

4/16/23

Wayfair WFH Customer Service Rep

You probably know what Wayfair is, so I’ll spare you the description. For those unaware, it’s basically a huge online department store in the likes of Amazon. This job position requires you to help customers by phone.

You’ll be answering questions about shipping, damages, returns, replacements, and other common questions. If you’ve done any type of CS job, this is pretty much the same.

You’ll be handling upwards of 60 calls per shift. This is a fast paced job and will require you to talk on the phone, chat, email, etc. Wayfair uses multipole tools to get customer issues solved, so you’ll need to be quick, efficient, and tech-savvy.

Pay: $15 per hour with COL adjustments.

Requirements: 18 years or older with GED.

Skills: Tech-savvy with ability to talk sympathetically to customers and help de-escalate their issues. Find solutions to their problems. Analytical. Required training.

Equipment: Computer modem hardwired with at least 25Mbps (NoWiFi). Quite workspace. Knowledge of Windows OS and other basic tools. This is pretty standard.

Expected hours per week: Varies.

Max pay potential per month: Varies.

Min pay per month: $2400 (based on $15/h at 40h/week).

Pay average per month (based on reviews): $2000-3000.

Language: English.

Location: US (Limited to: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington, and Wisconsin).

Overall thoughts

This WFH job is pretty standard. For anyone who’s done CS at home, it’s a very fast paced job with nonstop calls during peak hours. The pay is decent and they offer quarterly bonusses up to $2,000. They also adjust tenure based increases as well.

Wayfair does offer VERY nice benefits, including your standard PTO, holiday, insurance, holidays, and 401(k) with 4% match. There’s also an employee discount.

Overall, not a bad gig if you need some extra income and don’t mind phone calls.

APPLY

4/13/23

ModSquad

ModSquad is a popular platform for online moderators. These are basically the peeps that’ll censor inappropriate langue, pictures, videos, and everything else you may come across online.

ModSquad works with top tier brands in the US. If you’re tech-savvy with excellent Internet knowledge, this may be good for you. You’ll need to be familiar with common memes, trends, and what’s considered appropriate. Online and RL are very different when it comes to moderation…

Pay: $20-40 per hour. Usually generous and well above minimum wage.

Requirements : BS degree. Good written/verbal skills. Detail oriented. Critical thinker. Works well with data. 1 year of IP-based network admin. 1 year of Linux sysadmin. 1 year of network management with NMS tools.

Skills: Tech-savvy with plenty of attention to detail.

Equipment: Dedicated laptop or PC with W10 or higher. Good headset.

Expected hours per week: Varies.

Max pay potential per month: $4000+.

Min pay per month: $1920 (based on $12/h at 40h/week).

Pay average per month (based on reviews): $2000-3000 (varies widely).

Language: English.

Location: US.

Overall thoughts

ModSquad is extremely picky about who they hire. They can take a long time to reply to your online application, so don’t put all your eggs in this company. If you do get hired, this is one of the highest paying WFH jobs on the market.

They offer self scheduling with fully WFH positions. The hourly rates are competitive with paid training. They have over 10,00 mods that chat with customers, moderate web content, forums, or social media with huge clients. Mods work all over the world in over 50 different languages.

APPLY

4/12/23

Working Solutions

Working Solutions is now hiring Response Specialists that are bilingual in both French and English for customer support positions. This position is available for anyone in the US (excluding NY, CA, PA, and WA). Canadians can also get in on this offer. It’s basically bilingual customer support.

Pay: Up to $19/hour.

Requirements: CS experience through phone, email, or live chat. Good verbal/written skills. Careful attention to detail. Friendly and warm. Self motivated. Tech savvy. Quiet work space.

Skills: History of customer service work seems to be their main picking point.

Equipment: You’ll need a PC, 10MBPs WIRED connection (no WiFi), Windows 10/11, wired USB headset w/ mic, virus protection.

Expected hours per week: 15-40 hours. You’re allowed to choose your own schedule and pick the hours that work for you.

Max pay potential per month: $3040+.

Min pay per month: $1920 (based on $12/h at 40h/week).

Pay average per month (based on reviews): $2000 (varies widely).

Language: English, French.

Location: US, CAN.

Overall thoughts

This is a solid company to work for, especially if you’re not afraid of getting on camera to help people. They have a variety of tasks to choose from so you can apply for what suits your skills.

This is an actual CS job where you’ll be required to communicate upset customers. So make sure you know what you’re getting into. If you don’t have thick skin, this may not be for you.

Details

Type: Website

Platforms: Web

Price: Free

Registration required: Yes

Earning potential: $0-$100+ per month

Realistic earning average: $5-$20 per month

Time commitment: 30 minutes per day

Estimated earnings per hour: $1.20 per hour

See the official page

Pros

Cash out by Bitcoin, PayPal, or gift card

Low minimum for withdrawal

Gamer-centric surveys

Play games and earn

Easy videos for passive income

Cons

Lots of survey disqualifications

Plenty of slave labor surveys

Low overall pay

Some surveys require subscriptions or personal details

Overall score: 6/10 (Average)

GG2U offers plenty of surveys, though many are simply not worth the time commitment. There are also lots of disqualifications without any compensation pay. Surveys are plentiful, along with getting paid to watch videos or download games. Decent minimum threshold for withdraw directly to BTC or PayPal. Worth grinding for, but only when you’ve exhausted other mediums. Definitely not to be made yoru primary beer money site.

What’s GG2U?

GG2U is a GPT (get paid to) site where you’re rewarded coins for completing various tasks like taking surveys, playing games, watching videos, and other offers.

There are MANY sites like this, and the most similar competitor to GG2U is Gain.GG.

Both are aimed and marketed towards gamers who may be looking to earn some side income to spend on games, skins, or other purchases without using their own money.

You can think of it as “free money” but any real side hustler knows that it’s gotta be worth your time.

Nothing is free in this world, my friend. And when you’ve been doing these apps for years, you’ll know what’s worth it and what’s just a time suck.

How does it work?

GG2U rewards you for completing offers on their offer wall from various CPA networks.

Don’t bother understanding the specifics.

Advertisers buy campaigns from CPA networks, which then middlemen like GG2U promote to users (like you and me) to complete.

When you complete one, the middleman gets paid a specific rate, which they share a portion of it with you. You make money and so does GG2U.

The CPA network pays GG2U for having a user complete the campaign and they get paid from the advertiser. They collect their share of it.

So it’s complex and has a lot of moving parts. Everyone takes their small share of the advertiser’s original purchase to run their campaign.

But as far as you’re concerned, you just want to make money. Like any other survey site/GPT site, you choose offers to complete and get paid in GG2U coins.

100 coins is $1.00 USD, which is nice. I hate sites that give you some partial or overblown number like 100000 coins is only $0.10 which just makes it hard to convert every time.

GG2U is simple. 1 coin = 1 penny. Keep it that way.

Each time you complete a survey, watch a video, or play various games and hit the trigger that pays, you get paid in coins which have no value.

You redeem them for prizes or cash of your choice, which then converts them to something with buying power.

Available for many countries

GG2U boats that many people can join from dozens of countries worldwide. I read that people from tier 3 countries get no surveys or very little pay.

This may not be the best if you’re living in one of those countries, but then again, it’s one of the few GPT sites that allow signups globally.

Minimum payout

The minimum payout is $7, which can be done through PayPal without fees on their end. You can also get paid in BTC with a 3% fee through Coinbase.

How much can you make with GG2U?

GG2U states that they pay between 65% to 85% back for their surveys, which is very high compared to similar sites.

But is it the truth? Does it make it worthy of your time?

They use various offerwalls that are pretty popular in the industry. Some of them are:

OfferToro

YourSurveys

AdGatemedia

Dynata

Persona.ly

RevenueWall

JungleSurvey

AdGem

CPALead

Survey Time

These are well-known (most of them) among GPT sites and are quality networks. The trick is to find the highest paying surveys that you can complete quickly and accurately, without getting screened out.

The surveys require you to answer free text fields, multiple-choice, radio buttons, and the general mishmash you’d expect from any survey site.

Some of them need personal info, but I just nope out of these. I also avoid any that make you sign up for a subscription because that’s pointless when you’re trying to make money- not use it.

Finding surveys that pay well is rare and you’ll often be sifting through junk before you find one worth taking.

Taking surveys

Most surveys pay anywhere from $0.60 to $1.20 and take about 10 minutes to complete. But you can’t grind this. They run out quickly and you’re left with junk.

Plus, you’ll be DQ’s, redirected, or required to sign up for something using your credit card over and over. So this just makes it even lower for the earnings per hour. It gets annoying. Fast.

If you worked for 1 hour straight, you’d make anywhere from $2-$3 assuming you don’t get screened out and you find good surveys.

This is rare and you’ll likely earn much less hourly.

A safer conservative earning potential is $0.80-$1.20 per hour of nonstop grinding. I was able to hit AT LEAST this consistently while doing other tasks in the background on any given day. Compared to other survey sites, this is average pay.

Watching videos

The videos are pretty passive- you just let them run and check in every few minutes.

They give you a silver token every 200 VPs you get and while this hardly makes it even half of the minimum wage in the poorest states, you can still rack up those points while you multitask.

Playing games

There are also offers for playing games for a while or beating a certain level. If you have time to spare and don’t care about installing junk on your PC, then go for it.

Some of them are popular games like CrossOut, World of Tanks, etc.

But you’ll want to scan each one before you download it. I don’t trust them and avoid them for this purpose. Plus, I don’t want junk files sitting on my hard disk after I install them anyway.

What can you redeem on GG2U?

You can redeem PayPal, Bitcoin, or virtual gift cards. GG2U is similar to Gain.GG- both of them offer the same cash-out opportunities, so you may as well stack both GPT sites against each other and compare them. Or you can work both.

You can maximize your earnings per hour by doing the highest paying surveys on either site and switching to the other when one has nothing worth your time.

Disqualifications

You can get disqualified from surveys and you don’t get paid.

Some sites will still pay you a small compensation prize, but GG2U doesn’t. You simply get screened out and that’s it. That’s a shame, but it happens.

The reason that you don’t match what the surveyors are looking for demographically. They only credit you when you complete the surveys, as shown here:

You won’t qualify for all surveys, just like most survey sites.

Because of this, I’d avoid any surveys that look like they’re targeted for a specific audience.

After doing a few, you start to learn which ones you qualify for just based on the survey title and questions.

When it starts to sound very specific and niche, just close out and don’t waste your time.

You’ll see plenty of DQs, redirects, and require sign-ups or subs that make you pull your CC out. Avoid these.

Loyalty program

GG2U has a pretty cool loyalty program that pays you a “golden token” every 5 requests for payout.

This token is a ticket with a random draw that awards you anywhere from $1 to $7. I haven’t seen many survey sites that offer something like this. It’s just icing on the cake.

While it DOES take a lot of time to build up your earnings, extra money like that doesn’t hurt.

There’s also a token called the “silver token.” They’re now given for every 200 video points you earn. You get a silver token which gives you a random amount between $1-$3.

According to their FAQ, the token has a predetermined amount already. The prize wheel just rewards it.

Kind of backward, but it adds a little fun to the site:

Referral program

GG2U has a referral program for anyone who signs up under your link. You get 5% of their earnings every time they request a payout.

Is GG2U legit?

Yes, GG2U is a legitimate GPT site that pays.

Although the high paying surveys aren’t common, the site is still worth it for any time you have doing nothing.

When you’re waiting for that next round of League of Legends in the queue, why not do a quick survey and earn some cash to buy some skins?

Reviews on both G2 and SiteJabber seem legit:

TrustPilot.

SiteJabber.

So, is GG2U.com worth your time?

GG2U is worth your time if you’re already on the computer and have nothing else to do. If you’re doing this purely to make money, there are other ways to earn that pay more.

However, GG2U is worth checking daily to see if any good offers pay well or let the videos run in the background to earn passively.

GG2U overall review

GG2U is a legitimate GPT site that pays.

Don’t expect to make a ton of cash quickly with this site, but you can rack up the points over time and cash out at $10.

Buy Bitcoin, get PayPal cash, or just redeem your favorite gift cards. The site has plenty of different ways to earn, but you should focus on the surveys to make the most.

Other than that, the games may be worth it if you don’t mind downloading games on your phone. The videos are good to earn passively with minimal effort. Or you can just refer to your gamer friends and earn that way.

Whatever you do, just be ready for some headaches from all the disqualifications when you try the surveys.

Other than this, GG2U is a competitive GPT site and one of the few that lets you withdraw by BTC and PayPal.

Surveys On The Go is a survey app that pays a decent rate, but does have its own set of problems.

Regardless, it’s still worth having on your phone just to snag the surveys as they become available for multiple reasons:

They pay by PayPal

There’s a $10 minimum for cash out

The surveys pay even if you get disqualified

Let’s get into this complete review of Surveys On The Go.

Details

Type: Mobile app

Platforms: iOS, Android

Price: Free

Registration required: Yes

Earning potential: $0-$20+ per month

Realistic earning average: $1-$6 per month

Time commitment: 20 minutes per week

Estimated earnings per hour: $3 per hour

Download the app: Android, iOS

See the official page

Pros

Pays by PayPal

High paying surveys

Pays even if you disqualify

Cons

1-2 surveys a week

Disqualifications common

Overall score: 7/10 (Decent)

Surveys On The Go is a survey app worth keeping on your phone. Although the surveys are far and few in between, they’re decently paying when you complete one. The app cashes out at $10 and pays by PayPal.

What is Surveys On The Go?

This is a legit survey app, though you won’t be making bank.

Surveys On The Go is a mobile survey app that provides you a way of offering your thoughts and opinions that you can redeem for cold, hard, cash.

Well, not physical cash.

Similar to any other survey app like Qmee, Survey Junkie, QuickThoughts, Surveys On The Go is nothing special.

The premise is the same: You’re notified of a new survey. You take it. And you get paid.

There are dozens (maybe even hundreds) of survey apps out there.

What it really comes down to is choosing the right app that has high-paying surveys that you can take without having to wait for the next one to show up. That’d be the dream.

Sadly, Surveys On The Go’s major downfall is that there are hardly any surveys and you’ll be waiting to get that “new survey” notification on your phone.

So it’s not something you can grind out on a daily basis for side hustlers.

How does it work?

Surveys On The Go works similarly to Google Opinion and SurveyMonkey Rewards where you get an alert when a new survey becomes available.

You can’t log in and find a bunch of surveys to choose from. But rather, you just keep the app on your phone and get a notification on your phone. You then take the survey.

Each survey consists of a few different data collection methods:

Multiple choice

Radio buttons

Dropdown menus

Freetext

Sliders

You do the survey and get paid. That’s it. There’s nothing hard about it. I’m sure most of you already know this, but I wanted to be fair for the newbies jumping on the beer money bandwagon.

How do you get paid?

Surveys On The Go pays you when you hit the minimum cash out threshold of $10. Compared to other apps, this is pretty much standard.

Not too high where it takes forever to reach and discourages you (and lets them run with your money). And not too low where you can withdraw your cash daily.

You can withdraw your earnings to redeem cash or virtual gift cards.

Here are all the different things you can earn:

PayPal cash

Virtual Visa cash

Amazon gift card

Starbucks gift card

That’s it. Plain and simple. Just hit the minimum of $10 and you can cash out. The process is simple: you just hit the $10 mark and then request to cash out.

You choose how you want to get your earnings and you get an email specifying the directions to cash out. It’s fast and automated.

How often do you get surveys?

This depends on surveyor demand.

You’ll get dry periods where you only have a few surveys per month.

Other times, you’ll get a few per week.

While it looks like there’s rhyme or reason, but I’m pretty sure seasonality has a role. Schools, researchers, and educators along with market analyzers all have rotating budgets.

But who cares about that? We have no decisions or say regarding that. Just take the survey as soon as it pops up and score those sweet dollars.

How to get more surveys

Their official site says that you’ll get 1-2 surveys per week. But in reality, it’s a lot more random than that. Sometimes I have a survey every week.

This is overestimating.

There is no way to get more surveys- it’s completely dependent on the surveyor’s target audience, how many people are using the app in your area, and how many people the surveyor wants to take their survey.

There are probably also other variables that affect the chances of you getting that survey alert, but it’s more than I care to research about. Who has time for that?

Regardless, it’s out of your control and there’s nothing you can do to get more surveys with Surveys On The Go. Just keep the phone on your app stack and enable notifications for it.

Android users should have them on by default. iOS users have the option to do so. This way, you can capture whenever a new survey shows up. Other than that, use other high-paying survey apps during the gaps.

The problem with Surveys On The Go – rejected surveys

Surveys On The Go has a common problem that most survey apps have- you can get declined for a survey halfway through the form and waste your time.

This is extremely frustrating when you give away your valuable thoughts/opinions just to be denied survey approval and paid a mere $0.10 rather than the full amount.

Sure, if you get screened out early, that ten cents may be worth it.

But what if you already put in 20 minutes or so just to be screened out near the end of the survey?

You just wasted your time and got paid slave wages.

This is acknowledged on their FAQ page, and they state that you can be disqualified from a PAYMENT because of these reasons:

This should help you get your payments on time.

But sometimes even when you do everything right, you STILL get DQ’d. I think some survey requesters abuse this system and screen you out after they collected their answers.

This way, you give them what they want and they pay you pennies on the dollar- in other words, survey fraud.

Surveys On The Go has a major problem with this and it’s just something you’ll have to deal with.

Thankfully, when you DO complete a survey, it pays well and makes up for all the BS ones you had to do. Woot.

How much can you make with Surveys On The Go?

This is a loaded question and the number one thing any beginner wants to know.

Here’s the truth about al these survey apps:

You’re not going to get rich.

You’re not going to replace your day job.

But you will be able to pay for your Netflix subscription (and maybe more) at the end of the month.

Even if you stack survey apps and grind all day, I doubt you’ll make more than working a traditional job. Even at minimum wage.

But hey, it’s money you can earn on your own time whenever you want. No boss. No schedule. It ain’t financial freedom, but it’s your side gig for now while you build your path.

So with that out of the way, let’s talk about earnings.

How much you can make with Surveys On The Go depends on how many surveys you get AND can complete without getting screened out.

Assuming you get a nice influx of surveys every week, you’ll make around $1-$4 per week.

So that means you’ll make $4-$16 monthly (on average).

The typical user I’d expect to reach the $10 cash out min within 2-3 months. Again, this varies depending on how many surveys you get.

Even if you keep getting disqualified, Surveys On The Go still pays you 10 cents for that and it adds up like interest in the bank.

Besides, when you DO complete a decent survey, the pay makes up for all the ones you were denied.

This is pretty decent pay for a survey app. Compared to others like Qmee or SurveyJunkie, Surveys On The Go has been the highest paying one on average. I just wish they were more consistent with their survey availability. But you can’t have it all.

Don’t rely on it to pay your bills. Their FAQ page lists the common reasons for payment denial.

So if you follow these tips, you should have minimal rejections. But not 100%.

Sometimes you get rejected even if you take the survey seriously. I guess the target demographic for the surveyor doesn’t match your profile.

The payout for Surveys On The Go isn’t bad for a survey app that doesn’t have consistent ones you can take. Just keep it on your phone with notifications ON and take ‘em when they crop up.

Track Cash

Here’s something pretty cool:

There’s an app called track cash that pays you $1.25 every week for having it installed. It’s for select users only, but if you come across the “survey,” consider downloading the app.

After you download it and have it running in the background, you’ll be paid $1.25 every single week in the form of a survey. This will double or even triple your earnings with Surveys On The Go.

Is Surveys On The Go legit?

Surveys On The Go is a legitimate app that pays.

You’ll probably be annoyed because of all the disqualifications you’ll come across and being paid a mere $0.10. But once you find a survey that gives you the big bucks, you’ll be stoked.

The app does take some time to earn enough to cash out, but it does pay you by PayPal, Visa, or gift card. I haven’t seen any reports of being banned when requesting payment or anything shady like that.

Plus, the support team seems to be reachable as they’re active in the user reviews, so that means they’re at least doing something:

You can see that their team even responds to 5/5 ratings.

Is it worth your time?

Yes, it’s worth your time as long as you don’t sit there waiting for a survey to show up.

When you get one, you take it and hope you don’t get DQ’d. it’s that easy.

Be fast and accurate so you don’t waste your time even if you get screened out.

Since this app doesn’t let you grind 24/7, there’s no way to measure a practical earnings/hour.

Is it safe?

Surveys On The Go’s support team seems to be pretty serious when privacy is mentioned. Their FAQ page says that your data is confidential and anonymous.

They also mention that the surveyors won’t know who you are and they won’t spam you with ads, emails, or phone calls. So that’s reassuring.

But then again, if you blatantly go around leaving behind your email, name, phone, or other means of contact within surveys (like when you put in free-text responses), that’s on you.

Don’t ever fill in your personal details even if the survey asks for it. Y

ou should report the problematic survey to Surveys On The Go to let them know. They may have slipped through the cracks. Stay private when you take these surveys.

Overall review: Surveys On The Go

Surveys On The Go is a decent survey app for mobile phones that pays.

Although you can’t do surveys all day and there are limited numbers you receive weekly, you do get paid a decent rate for the ones you qualify on.

Denied surveys are a thing, but you still get paid for your time.

Overall, it’s a good app to have on your phone to take surveys whenever they become available. It’s legit, pays a decent rate, and has good customer support for any questions. I’d say Surveys On The Go is worth having on your side hustle stack.

Thinking about trying out gain.gg? Find out how much you can earn with this complete review.

What’s gain.gg?

Gain.gg is like Swagbucks for gamers.

That’s the best way I can describe it. Similar to Survey Junkie, Qmee, and other survey sites,

Gain.GG allows you to earn coins, which is their virtual currency with a real-world USD equivalent. It’s NOT a cryptocurrency as there’s no value of it outside of the platform.

How do you make money with gain.gg?

Payment proof for gain.gg can be found all over the user reviews.

You earn money by completing surveys, trying out apps and games, and watching videos.

There are also some oddball tasks here and there but I didn’t bother with them as surveys are the main moneymaker on the site.

The monetary equivalent conversion is 1K coins = $1 USD. So that means 1 coin is 0.001 pennies.

While it’s not as ridiculous as those sites that shower you with thousands of coins when in reality it’s just a few cents, it’s also annoying to convert sometimes.

I wish sites would just have 1 coin = 1 penny so there’s no conversion needed for all that unnecessary fluff to make it seem like you’re rolling in dough.

Regardless, Gain.GG lets you redeem your coins with only a $0.01 minimum threshold.

So you can pretty much cash out at any time you want, directly to PayPal with no fees. This is one of the FEW survey sites with no cashout minimum.

You can cash out daily if you want to. I mean, if you can’t earn $0.01 per day, GPT and surveys aren’t for you. Sorry, buddy.

The nice thing about no mins for cashing out is that you can do it daily and not get burned out. I’m sure you know how that feels.

You work for days and weeks trying to reach that $10 threshold just to get your hard-earned cash so you can finally buy those Steam cards.

But then you never reach it and the survey company reaps all the rewards. Gain.gg makes it good for beginners because you can stay motivated to work.

For beginners, Gain.GG is a very easy way to get started with surveys with its straightforward UI and gamify system with points.

There are even user profiles, a chat system, and a community built around it. It’s the only survey platform that has other active users that I know of where you can communicate with them in real-time.

The chat is pretty active.

They have profiles, usernames, and even a neat little chart that shows off their earnings and player “level.”

How does gain.gg work?

Similar to any other GPT site, Gain.gg provides you a list of surveys to complete for points.

There are also videos and app downloads (some of which pay nicely) but I don’t bother with those because my privacy on my phone is more important.

The surveys are what make you the most money anyway, so find the best work: payout ratio, put on some music, and grind away.

Gain.gg has offers from many notable networks like AdGate, Adscend Media, OfferToro, and PeanutLabs.

For anyone who’s had skin in the game as long as I have, you should recognize all these leading media companies and know their reputations are excellent. For anyone else, these are legitimate CPA companies.

So you find surveys that appeal to you and complete them for coins. Then you redeem the coins for PayPal cash. That’s pretty much it.

These are reputable brands that fulfill the offer walls.

So, is gain.gg safe or a scam?

Gain.gg is not a scam and is a legit, paying survey site.

Unlike some other shady apps with a bunch of robotic ref code users spamming positive reviews, Gain.gg has positive user reviews from a variety of sources like Reddit and Trustpilot.

As with any survey site, the personal details you give out are under your discretion. If you provide your sensitive data when you complete surveys, you’re putting yourself at risk if the data were to be sold, transferred, or even hacked.

Is it worth your time?

This is one of the few survey sites that actually has decent surveys. You can thank their pool legitimate advertisers that provide the surveys for users to complete.

Compared to average hourly earnings on other alternatives to Gain.gg (Qmee, Swagbucks, and Quick Thoughts), gain.gg is one of the highest paying sites out of them all.

So with this, Gain is worth your time especially if you buy crypto, want game skins, or just like the idea of gamifying surveys to keep them entertained.

Is gain.gg legit?

Yes, Gain.gg is a legitimate way to earn cash by completing surveys. The site is good for beginners as it holds your hand through the system to complete your first few surveys.

Compared to other survey sites like Swagbucks and Qmee, the UI is very easy to use and has minimal clutter. It’s also a lot more modern and has an appealing design.

With minimum payouts of a penny and plenty of ways to redeem your earnings, Gain.gg proves to be one of the easiest ways for beginners.

Reviews on Trustpilot show a lot of glowing positive sentiment:

Is there an app?

Gain.gg has no mobile app. You can log in directly from the website and complete surveys.

Plus, this makes doing surveys directly from your phone easier since you already have them ready to download. The app downloads, videos, and games flow well on mobile devices and work flawlessly.

The problems with Gain.gg

Gain.gg is a legitimate way to earn some side hustle income. There are two things I don’t like about it, but these can be just personal gripes.

The first is the app downloads.

And this is particularly what made me give up on them and solely focus on surveys back when I was still grinding on this site. Most of the app downloads require you to perform or trigger an action to get paid.

As this site primarily attracts gamers, we all know how boring and absolutely rage-inducing it can be to play a terrible, generic clone of a game.

Sadly, some of these games are so poorly coded or leave you with one of those “where do I go now?” kind of thoughts which just wastes your time.

And considering that many of the games are new (which is why their developers push them on gain.gg for advertising) there are NO guides or walkthroughs for them.

So you’re then playing some boring game that you’ve already invested hours into trying to get to the last level so you’ll get paid. But then you get stuck or can’t’ beat a level and have no resources to find out what to do.

Remember back in the 90s when there were no readily available online walkthroughs and you had to figure everything out on your own?

Yeah, that’s what it’s like.

Except the game’s horrible and you’re an adult now and realize you don’t have time to waste on this garbage. That’s how it feels.

The second is the signup process. Gain.gg ONLY allows you to sign up using your Steam account or Google Account. You can’t make a separate account JUST for Gain.gg unless you create a new email or Steam account.

The only two ways to login.

And if you don’t, your Google name on your profile on your Steam username will be displayed on the platform for all others to see.

While this may not be a big problem for many, others don’t want their usernames displayed on the sitewide ticker to show that you completed some offer or survey. Privacy problem.

You should create your own account just for this site to keep yourself anonymous.

What can you redeem with gain.gg?

Gain.gg lets you redeem your earned points for many different prizes.

Other than the PayPal cash out, you can also redeem skins for your favorite games, gift cards, and even cryptocurrency.

You can redeem PayPal cash, gift cards, and even Bitcoin.

Here’s a full list of redeemable prizes from Gain.gg:

Withdraw to Bitcoin (BTC)

Litecoin (LTC)

CSGO Shop

Ethereum

Bitcoin Cash

Amazon gift cards

Walmart gift cards

Adidas

Airbnb

eBay

Xbox

Playstation

Nintendo

And over 100 other retailers with virtual GCs.

They have Tango gift cards which cover the majority of popular retailers on the planet. Their cryptocurrency withdrawals are done over the blockchain or through Coinbase with no fees. CSGOShop has a ton of skins for your favorite games like Dota 2.

You can withdraw your cash anytime directly to your PayPal account.

Only verified users can do this and Gain.gg’s verification system is that you complete up to 10 surveys. After this, you’ll become a verified user and can cash out at just 1 cent anytime you want.

The only benefit of verifying your account is that you can cash out instantly with no approval. You can STILL withdraw your earnings to PayPal even if you’re unverified.

The only difference is that you have to wait for customer support to approve your request which can take up to a day or so. No biggie.

How much can you earn per hour? Per month?

This varies depending on the offers available and how quickly you work with accuracy.

For those with experience using GPT sites, you’ll recognize that the same offers may appear on multiple sites.

Gain.gg seems to pay a small percentage more for most offers, so that’s generous of them rather than keeping it to themselves. I’ve seen some offers on both Gain.gg, Swagbucks, and instaGC with Gain.gg paying the most- sometimes even by a few dollars more (I’m looking at you, FFXV for Android download).

Surveys can still disqualify you halfway through the survey, which is similar to Qmee or SuveyJunkie. However, this happens a lot less frequently on Gain.gg and you can always ask the community in real time before taking that 30m survey.

The leaderboards clearly show the top earners and give you the potential of how much you can make with Gain.gg:

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="537" src="https://howmuchcanyoumake.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/leaderboards-gain.gg_-1-1024x537.jpg" alt="leaderboards gain.gg 1 Gain.GG Review - Is it Legit? (2020)" class="wp-image-307" title="Gain.GG Review - Is it Legit?
As you can see, the top leaders for the time of this writing made well over $200 when you convert the points to coins.

Then again, these ARE the leaders, so they know their strategies and how to maximize their earnings on Gain.gg. For the average person (like myself), I end up with $30-60 per month if I grind on a daily basis for a few hours.

On an hourly basis, that’s anywhere from $1-4 on average depending on the availability of surveys.

The potential of Gain.gg is huge given the wide variety of ways you can withdraw your earnings. I haven’t seen any other platform that lets you withdraw to PayPal instantly and have the option of putting it into Bitcoin or Litecoin directly from the site.

That’s pretty cool.

The team behind Gain is definitely working towards the millennial crowd and trying to capitalize on the market.

Referral system

This GPT site really pushes the referral program and rewards you for signing up friends and strangers.

For everyone that uses your ref code and signs up under you, you get a whopping 5% of their total earnings.

While it’s not the highest in the industry (with some money-making apps paying you 10% per referral), it keeps the company sustainable. Too high of a payout will destroy profit margins and too low discourages users from giving out their code to get friends to sign up.

While most people won’t make any money doing referrals, you can still sign up some friends.

Ask your online gaming buddies.

That’s where I started and now I have a healthy amount of referred friends working under my belt. I don’t even bother with the surveys anymore to be honest, other than the rare one or two here and there.

Overall review

Gain.gg is a legit GPT site and one of the highest paying platforms of 2020. I’d put this one as one of the easiest and user-friendly ways to make some beer money.

The pay per hour rivals that of other leading platforms like Swagbucks and there are always surveys available to take.

With the variety of ways to cash out your earnings, ease of use, and high paying surveys, you can make some decent side hustle money every month.

Probably enough to pay for a tank of gas.

Plus, if you’re a gamer or you trade crypto, this is one way you can earn “free” bitcoin, bitcoin, or Ethereum from the earnings you redeem over time.

Need a need legit survey app to make some side money? Check out this review of QuickThoughts and learn if it's right for you.

QuickThoughts is a popular survey platform for Android, iOS, and the web.

Similar to any other survey site, it lets you take surveys for points, which can be redeemed for Amazon gift cards exclusively (no bank or PayPal withdrawals).

You can expect to make about $60 a month with it working 1-2 hours per day. So it’s decent beer money.

But it’s not all surveys and fun- because it does present its fair share of BS which may dissuade you and steer you over to a QuickThoughts alternative.

Let’s dive in and find out if QuickThoughts is worth it.

Details

Type: Mobile app, web

Platforms: Android, iOS, web

Price: Free

Registration required: Yes (name, address, phone, etc.)

Earning potential: $0-$10,000 per month

Realistic earning average: $5-25 per month

Time commitment: 1 minute per day

Estimated earnings per hour: $30 per hour (based on two month’s earnings)

Download the app: Android, iOS

See the official page

Pros

Plenty of surveys available

Some times you can earn quickly

Excellent for idle time

Cons

Only Amazon gift card redemptions (no bank or PayPal)

$10 threshold for cashing out

Banned accounts are common

No customer service

Plagued with problems when trying to redeem earnings

Overall score: 6/10 (Average)

QuickThoughts is a survey app that’ll allows you to earn Amazon GCs with a $10 cash out limit. The team behind the app seems to ban often and has little to no customer support, so that’s a problem. Some surveys will allow you to earn quickly, but these are rare and not frequent enough to warrant this as a primary money maker.

What is QuickThoughts?

QuickThoughts is a survey app that’s available for both smartphones and the web.

The app lets you “share” your thoughts in exchange for rewards. It’s not the only app of its kind, as there are many clones of the same thing with a different name.

After you download a dozen or so of these survey apps, each promising to be the best and highest-paying, you start to see how they’re pretty much just clones of each other- some crappier than others.

The app has some terrible reviews recently. It almost looks like they got review bombed with negative reviews.

Just look at this RECENT list of ALL reviews on the Play Store:

Regardless, QuickThoughts has a bunch of different ways to earn rewards. The bulk of it is through surveys from advertisers and requestors.

But you can also do local activities that pay you for completing “missions” which usually stop at various stores. There are also polls, secret shopper activities, and other random things.

I don’t care for those because they’re rarely worth your time.

You should focus on the surveys 99% of the time you use QuickThoughts because that’s the most efficient use of your time on this app. Ignore all the other activities unless you’re already outdoors. Or you’re just bored.

How does it work?

QuickThoughts works by providing you with a list of paid surveys.

Similar to Qmee and Survey Junkie, there are multiple surveys available at any given time so you don’t need to mess with waiting for a notification. This is good and bad.

The good is that you can do some paid surveys whenever you want during idle time. And you can try to maximize your earnings by choosing the ones that take the least time and pay the most money.

The bad is that most of them are garbage and will pay you a slave wage.

But then again, if you’ve done any survey app on the planet before, this is to be expected. There are only a few survey platforms that I’ve used that actually can pay minimum wage.

And even this is hard to hit because you need a streak of high paying surveys to take.

So anyway, you find a survey using QuickThoughts built-in matching system. You fill out some basic demographic details and it’ll match you with a survey.

After that, it’s just a matter of completing the survey and then earning your reward points.

It’s the same as any other old survey app.

They range from freeform text, multiple-choice, polls, opinions, and radio buttons/dropdown menus. The interface is easy to use and smooth with no problems. Longer surveys work fine. I’ve never gotten an error message or had any app crashes, unlike some other apps.

Then, there are also other options like secret shopper surveys and scout missions.

Both of these I ignore because I just don’t think they’re worth the time required. If you’re already out at the mall or something and you happen to find a local mission RIGHT there in the same mall, then yeah, it’s probably worth it.

But going out just to do these missions is highly underpaid when you factor in the time to get ready, changing, gas, wear on your car, etc.

So I just focus on the surveys exclusively and only when my other higher-paying opportunities are exhausted. QuickThoughts shouldn’t be used as a primary money maker as it’s very inefficient. Not to mention that you only get paid in GCs, which isn’t for everyone.

How do you make money with QuickThoughts?

You make money with QuickThoughts by completing surveys.

Each survey earns you points which you can redeem for Amazon GCs once you hit $10. Depending on the number of surveys that day and which ones you match with, your earnings per hour varies wildly.

How much can you make per hour? Per month?

You can make anywhere from $1-$8 per hour with QuickThoughts on average.

Upwards of $10/hour isn’t unheard of. This all depends on the surveys you take, their pay, and how quickly you can work without answering bogus responses.

You can do the math. If you’re making $2 an hour with QuickThoughts (a realistic estimate), and you do this for one hour a day, every day for a month, you’ll make about $60 a month.

Does QuickThoughts pay?

Yes, QuickThoughts is a legit app that pays. But this shouldn’t be news to you because there are a bunch of other apps that pay you more for the same thing.

Regardless, you can redeem your earnings for Amazon gift cards. There’s no other options for cashing out, unlike Qmee which lets you redeem in any way you want- including gift cards, PayPal, and direct deposit transfer to your bank.

If you don’t shop on Amazon, don’t use this app. There’s nothing else for you to redeem and your earnings (and time) will be stuck in perpetuity.

You can redeem every $10, which is the minimum threshold for cashing out.

How do you redeem your earnings?

You can redeem your “free” Amazon gift cards when you hit the $10 threshold.

The process is automated. You claim your prize and QuickThoughts will send you a code that you activate on Amazon. Then the reward amount is added to your GC balance. It’s pretty much exactly like SurveyMonkey or Qmee.

QuickThoughts lets you redeem your points easily. There’s no option for PayPal or bank transfers, so you’re stuck with gift cards. The process is fast and automated, so no complaints. You can buy everything on Amazon anyway, so this shouldn’t be a problem for most people.

Cash-out as soon as you hit the minimum amount though because being banned on QuickThoughts or blocked from logging in seems to be a prevalent problem.

Is QuickThoughts legit?

Yes, QuickThoughts is a legitimate survey app. It pays after you hit the minimum cash-out amount.

However, the app does have its fair share of problems- such as extremely low-paying surveys and the random banned accounts. If you don’t mind either of these problems, you can keep the app on your phone to do some surveys when you’re bored. It’s comparable to Qmee.

They both offer plenty of available surveys to take, but only a handful of them are worth your time at any given time.

Is it worth your time?

No, not if you have other alternatives to pursue.

QuickThoughts is only useful when you’ve exhausted all your other money-making methods and have absolutely nothing else to do. I’d suggest only using QuickThoughts during the times when you’re waiting around or extremely bored.

Or if you’re out in public and you just happen to come across some local “mission” that you can complete for some quick points.

Is the QuickThoughts app safe?

As with any survey app, the app is as safe as the data you give out.

QuickThoughts only asks for basic demographic information to fill out your profile and match you up with survey advertisers. And there’s nothing wrong with this because a more accurate match means everyone profits.

You take a survey you actually know about. And the advertiser gets feedback they can actually use. This is how surveys work. And how they’re SUPPOSED to work.

So you SHOULD provide accurate information to the team so they can match you with the right surveys.

But for the personal information you give out on the actual surveys you take, that’s up to you. Some surveyors may request personally identifiable information, which you should always avoid.

Any surveys that ask for your email, phone, address, name, or any other details that you can use to find out how you are should never be answered- at least that’s what I’d do. If you’re comfortable with giving out your info, you should understand the risks of doing so.

That’s your call.

Whatever survey you come across that requests these details MAY have slipped through QuickThoughts’s radar because these types of surveys should be labeled that it requests personal info. They should also pay more than regular anonymous surveys.

That’s proper etiquette.

So if you take a survey that pays low and takes forever to finish, and then it hits you for personal details, you best report it to the team.

How do you delete your QuickThoughts account?

You can message the customer support team to wipe your data and then delete your account.

After that, erase the app from your device. I’ve never done this myself, but I’d assume the team behind QuickThoughts must delete your data upon your request unless there’s some statement in the Terms or Privacy policy that allows them to keep your data on their servers.

The problems with QuickThoughts

Here’s what people are saying about the app. I’ve never personally had any of these issues to the point where it affected my earnings drastically, but it seems others have.

Customer service

QuickThoughts doesn’t have the most gleaming reviews for their email support.

Don’t expect to get a reply anytime soon, especially for critical issues like you being locked out of your account or unable to redeem your points.

Although the majority of users will (hopefully) never have to contact support, those that do will be waiting for a long time. Users stated that they sent multiple emails to no avail:

Getting banned

QuickThoughts has a nasty habit of banning people’s accounts for apparently no reason.

Although this has never happened to me, the number of reviews saying they were banned is startling.

Just look at these recent reviews of all the same thing:

This is nothing special.

I don’t know if these people are all examples of poor survey responses, or trying to game the system in some way or another. Or if QuickThoughts really is happy with the banhammer.

Whatever the case, you can contact their support here if you get banned. But the chances of redeeming your account is low. So whatever you do, don’t go into this venture thinking that it’s a surefire way to earn money.

With the possibility of having your account terminated at any point, you NEED to cash out every $10 when you can. Imagine having $50 in your account because you’re saving up and then the next time you try to log on, you’re banned. Cash-out early and cash out often.

Note that most people get banned when they try to cash outright at the $10 mark. Is this just bad business practice on QuickThoughts’ end trying to get people to do free labor and then hitting them with the ban hammer? Or is it just a coincidence?

Error messages

This also is a common issue with the app.

People report that they get errors when trying to connect such as “invalid country location” or “error, please try again” or “no network connection” when they launch the app.

Some people also report that they log in to QuickThoughts and have no surveys available to take, or are unable to redeem their points for rewards. While the surveys themselves work smoothly, the app does have its fair share of glitches.

I never had problems with these, but that could be because of the OS. I’m on iOS and most of these complaints are on the Android side.

Blacklisted

Sadly, once you get banned from QuickThoughts, you won’t be able to reinstate your account.

The majority of reviews I scanned from the web state that they got banned right around the $10 mark and couldn’t log back on or had errors on the app.

They then emailed support only to get no reply. So it’s almost as if their account was blacklisted by QuickThoughts. No big deal. If you like these kinds of apps (lots of surveys, but most are low paying), there are plenty to go around.

Try Qmee, which is less trigger-happy with the ban hammer and has decent support.

You can see just from their reviews on the Play Store that not once has a developer responded to user complaints:

This is quite common in the reviews.

QuickThoughts alternatives

There are plenty of alternatives to QuickThoughts: Qmee, Survey Junkie, Survey Monkey Rewards, Google Opinion Rewards, and more.

QuickThoughts doesn’t have anything special going for it, but it does offer nearly unlimited surveys to take. It’s good for some hardcore grinding if you’re bored and got nothing but time.

Otherwise, there are more efficient survey opportunities on other platforms that you should be using rather than QT.

Overall review

QuickThoughts is an app that you don’t want to use as your main money maker. There are plenty of other survey apps that pay more but offer fewer surveys.

You should only use this when you have nothing else to do during your downtime. It’s on par with Qmee, as both apps offer plenty of low-paying surveys that you can work for some side income.

If you’re OK with the risk of getting banned for no reason and possible errors when cashing out with no customer service, then QuickThoughts is right for you. I’d suggest keeping this app on your phone and only doing the high paying surveys when possible.

And only using it when you have no other money-making opportunities for the day- such as when you’re out and about in public waiting for your meal at McDonald’s (that was paid for with beer money).

Survey Junkie is an old and established survey platform with both web-based and mobile apps.

It’s one of the more popular apps, which should calm your nerves if you’re paranoid about scams and crappy survey sites.

But even the giants can be plagued with problems.

Pros

Always has surveys available

Direct deposit and PayPal withdrawals

Accessible on phones and desktop

Cons

Disqualifications are common

Most surveys pay slave wages

$10 minimum threshold for cashing out

Overall score: 6/10 (Average)

Survey Junkie is a survey platform available for desktops and phones. Screening out/disqualifications are frequent, but a plentiful amount of surveys maintains your earnings per hour. Cash out threshold is high at $10, but offers direct bank transfer, PayPal cash, and gift cards. The key is to find surveys that pay well with low completion times. Overall, worth to keep in your survey stack, but not worth priority attention.

What’s Survey Junkie?

Survey Junkie is a survey rewards app that pays you points which you can use to cash out for rewards.

There’s an option for direct PayPal cash, gift cards, and even direct deposit to your bank.

Direct bank transfer is a rarity in these types of apps, so it’s well appreciated and one of the few survey apps that allow it.

Similar to most survey sites, you get a queue of surveys to take. Completing one earns your virtual points. And the points redeem prizes.

The surveys come from both large and startup brands looking for your valuable opinion and feedback.

But who cares about that? You’re just in it for the money.

So let’s talk about it.

How does Survey Junkie work?

You log in to the app and see a queue of surveys.

You can scroll down to find one that suits the available time you have to dedicate, so it’s nice that the ETA to completion is listed.

Similar to apps like Swagbucks and Qmee, the time estimates are usually a lot higher than what it’ll actually take- in my experience. Working quickly and accurately is key.

Each survey also lists the number of points you’ll earn for finishing the survey. You need to find one that has a low time requirement but pays well. This is one way to maximize and optimize your earnings on Survey Junkie.

The minimum to cash out is 1,000 points, which can take some time to earn depending on how fast you work and the survey opportunities you get.

Survey Junkie requires that you complete the surveys or other “rewardable actions” to earn points. This means being disqualified during a survey will earn you nothing.

Something unique to Survey Junkie is a button that shows up and tells you when something you do will earn you points. It’s a green button that has a reward amount. Completing whatever the action is will earn you those points.

How to make money with Survey Junkie

Survey Junkie works just like any other survey app- Swagbucks, Qmee, QuickThoughts, etc.

You just choose a survey, take it, and get points for your efforts. Then you redeem it for PayPal cash, bank transfer, or e-gift cards. The choice is yours.

Survey Junkie makes money from advertisers paying for surveys on their site. The advertisers are looking for people to take their surveys and get feedback for their products and service.

Survey Junkie then pays us, the survey takers, a portion of that money that the advertisers paid. So advertisers get their feedback. Survey Junkie gets their cut. And we get paid.

Everyone’s happy, right?

Not always. There are some glaring issues with the app.

What’s wrong with Survey Junkie?

This app suffers from the same problem that plagues Qmee and many other survey apps- disqualifications.

If you’re new to this and don’t know the terminology, basically you get DQ’d from the survey you’re taking. Without pay.

So let’s say you find a 30m survey and start it.

You proceed through grueling and boring “fill in the response” prompts, radio buttons, multiple-choice, and true/false questions. You get to the final few pages. You’ve invested 25m of your time so far and can’t wait for that sweet, sweet point addition to your piggy bank.

Then you see the screen of doom. You get disqualified from the survey.

The survey ends and abruptly closes. And you’re greeted with a generic “Sorry, you don’t qualify for this survey” error message.

And now you’re back to the dashboard, didn’t get paid, AND wasted 25m of your time.

Congrats. That’s a disqualification for you. It’s also known as “survey denial” or “screened out.”

(Okay, you get paid like 2 points for being DQ’d. But that’s 2 cents.)

It’s a common problem with survey apps and many suffer from it. Survey Junkie is no exception.

SOME sites like SurveyMonkey Rewards or Google Opinion both will pay you even if you disqualify. But most don’t.

The problem is that the ones that guarantee a payment lack of available surveys. And the ones that have a lot of survey denials don’t offer guaranteed payments.

Why isn’t there a survey app that guarantees payment AND has a lot of surveys to take?

Getting disqualified is my biggest problem with Survey Junkie.

And if you read the recent reviews, you’ll see that it’s not only my problem:

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="718" height="248" src="https://howmuchcanyoumake.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/survey-junkie-legit.jpg" alt="Survey Junkie legit or not?

Another common issue with the app is that it locks up or crashes when you’re halfway through a survey. This happens in maybe 1/30 surveys.

And it’s another waste of time. Your phone will suddenly freeze up and you’ll have to force close the app, which erases your progress since you can’t continue surveys once you start them. Longer surveys that pay more often trigger this bug.

Do you really get paid?

Yes, Survey Junkie is a legitimate app that actually pays. If you choose the right surveys and work quickly and accurately, you can pull in decent beer money weekly.

The available surveys fluctuate daily and 80% of the time they’re paying slave wages. But the trick is to only take the ones that pay highly, yet don’t take a lot of time. This is called maximizing your time.

You can get paid by PayPal, direct deposit, or gift card to your favorite stores.

You shouldn’t be surprised that you can “actually” get paid.

There are a lot of apps that work just like Survey Junkie (and some that pay more). It’s nothing new and has been around for decades. Making money online is the new side gig, my friend.

How much does Survey Junkie pay per hour?

This varies depending on a few different factors that all affect your hourly earnings:

Number of “worth it” surveys available

How much time you have to dedicate to taking surveys

How fast you work while not making mistakes

How many surveys disqualify you

On a good run, you can anywhere from 200-300 points an hour.

So the monetary equivalent would be $2-$3 per hour of work.

Of course, this number can fluctuate based on the variables listed above.

How much can you make in a month?

These earnings are typical if you don’t grind.

Survey Junkie has the potential to bring you anywhere from $20-$60 a month, on average. It all depends on the av of profitable surveys that are worth your time.

Obviously, if you spend all day on it, you’ll maximize your earnings because you can take new surveys as soon as they’re out.

But for the rest of us, I’d leave Survey Junkie as a filler app when other apps or opportunities are depleted.

You should only use it when your best money makers are exhausted for the day.

Use it when you can’t use those other apps or gigs. Or when you’re stuck doing something and burdened with idle time to kill.

Don’t rely on this app as your main beer money income. There are more efficient opportunities.

How do you get paid?

You get paid with points. You use the points to redeem rewards like PayPal cash, online virtual gift cards, and transfer to your bank account.

You can redeem every 1K points, so that means you need a minimum of $10 to cash out.

This can take you anywhere from a few hours to an entire month to earn. It all depends on the surveys you get, how many you get denied from, and how quickly you work and optimize your efficiency.

How long does it take to pay you?

The payment process is automated and you get a confirmation message as soon as you cash out with your payment method. PayPal requires verification of your account.

And bank account transfers take a few days to show up. I’d suggest sticking with PayPal because it’s faster and you don’t have to reveal your bank details.

You can also redeem your rewards on gift cards, which you can use to buy your favorite products.

What gift cards can you get from Survey Junkie?

Survey Junkie offers a dozen or so gift cards that you can use at a popular retailer.

Here’s the complete list:

Groupon

iTunes

Amazon

Sephora

Target

Walmart

Starbucks

If none of these do it for you, then use the PayPal cash redemption.

How legit is Survey Junkie?

Survey Junkie is as legit as any other survey app.

You can do the work and read their privacy policy and terms of use in detail if you want to know.

But any information you give them will likely be shared with advertisers to match their target demographic.

For example, it wouldn’t make sense for an advertiser that sells meat products to spend money targeting someone who’s a vegetarian.

Or for a survey requestor to sell an educational program for someone who’s not in school. This is why you have basic profile details so you can match with the right advertisers.

This helps that you have a lower chance of screenings out and advertisers don’t waste their ad budget on the wrong audience.

Survey Junkie is legitimate in the sense that you’ll get paid when you reach the minimum threshold (unless your account gets banned for some reason).

But there’s a lot of BS you need to put up with like survey disqualifications, freezing/crashing, or low-paying surveys.

And if you’re afraid of your data being sold or revealed to other parties, you should probably avoid survey apps altogether. It’s very difficult to see exactly what these companies do with your data, what they know, and who they send it to.

The last thing you need is more email spam and random letters in the mail asking you to sign up for services.

Is it safe to use?

One thing you should note is that your data is largely controlled by what you put out.

Some surveys ask you for your details like your address, name, email, etc.

Personally, I’d never put out this info even if the survey paid well. I only complete surveys that ask for the minimum and necessary demographics.

This depends on your level of comfort. Some people are cool with it and appreciate the extra pay.

Others are conscious of their privacy and will steer clear. Do your due diligence and whatever you’re comfortable with.

Is Survey Junkie worth the time?

It ain’t gonna make you rich overnight (or in the next decade).

But it can bring you some easy beer money in your spare time. The nice thing about Survey Junkie is that there are always surveys you can take.

And they have their ETA. so when you’re bored at the dentist, waiting for a ride, or on a terrible date, bust out your phone and take some surveys.

Here and there, it adds up. You’ll have an extra $20 bucks or so each month to spend on whatever you want. It ain’t much, but it’s honest work.

How do I maximize earnings Survey Junkie?

You can maximize your time on Survey Junkie and make the most of it by doing these two things:

Finding the surveys that pay decent rates

Working on them quickly and accurately

There’s no other way to earn faster because all the other variables you can’t control.

You can’t control survey rejections.

You can’t control the availability of surveys.

And you definitely can’t control your survey running into an error and shutting down your work.

How do I get rid of the app?

You can get rid of it by deleting it removing it from your device.

If you really never want to return at it again, send the support team an email and let them know that you’d like your account and everything associated with it deleted.

I still use this app so I’ve never deleted my data.

But that’s how I’d do it. If you try this and it works, report back and let us know.

Does Survey Junkie steal your information?

This depends on what you mean by “steal.”

I’m nearly 100% sure that somewhere in their terms of use and privacy policy there’s a clause that allows them to use your data, collect it, sell it, or somehow transfer it to third-parties.

Whether you consider this “stealing” or not is semantics.

On one hand, you did agree to this. Probably.

On the other hand, their servers may be breached, data could be leaked, or some other issue could happen where your data is exposed.

That’s a different definition of “stealing.”

Is Survey Junkie safe for bank transfer?

I’d avoid putting any sensitive details like your routing and bank account details on any apps or services that are unnecessary.

Why not just sign up for a PayPal account, or use it if you already have one, and then transfer from PayPal to your bank?

This way, your bank details are never revealed to Survey Junkie and you still collect your earnings. It’s just one extra step to transfer the dough.

But then you don’t have to worry and be paranoid by asking this question anymore.

Plus, there’s always the possibility of their servers being hacked or data leaks.

Alternatives to Survey Junkie

Survey Junkie isn’t unique in the survey space and there are plenty of other similar apps you can try out as a substitute if you’re having problems with it or as apps to add to your stack.

Here are a few similar apps that I wrote about:

SurveyMonkey Rewards (pays you for every survey)

Google Opinion Rewards (no rejections)

Qmee (basically Survey Junkie’s smaller brother)

Survey Junkie vs. Swagbucks

Survey Junkie is like a brother to Swagbucks.

They both allow you to earn “points” to redeem for cash or gift cards.

The main difference is that Survey Junkie is a lot slimmer and focuses on just surveys, while SB allows you to earn points in a variety of different ways like surveys, games, videos, search, shopping, and more.

Surveys are the main moneymaker for both entities, so if that’s all you care about, then they’re not that different. Both tell you ETA to finish the survey, how much you earn per survey and have similar rewards.

Swagbucks give you 1 cent per denied survey and Survey Junkie gives you 2 cents. That’s about it. You can stack both together to maximize your earnings. Or when one runs out of profitable surveys, you can switch.

Overall review

I think Survey Junkie is a decent app to add to your stack, but I wouldn’t use it as a primary money maker and would dedicate my time elsewhere.

It’s best suited for times when you’re idle and have time to kill. You can make a few cents a day and collect a few bucks a month.

This way, you’re earning at least SOMETHING when you’re doing nothing, which earns you nothing.

Just be ready for constant survey disqualifications.
