Surveys On The Go is a survey app that pays a decent rate, but does have its own set of problems.

Regardless, it’s still worth having on your phone just to snag the surveys as they become available for multiple reasons:

They pay by PayPal

There’s a $10 minimum for cash out

The surveys pay even if you get disqualified

Let’s get into this complete review of Surveys On The Go.

Details

Type: Mobile app

Platforms: iOS, Android

Price: Free

Registration required: Yes

Earning potential: $0-$20+ per month

Realistic earning average: $1-$6 per month

Time commitment: 20 minutes per week

Estimated earnings per hour: $3 per hour

Download the app: Android, iOS

See the official page

Pros

Pays by PayPal

High paying surveys

Pays even if you disqualify

Cons

1-2 surveys a week

Disqualifications common

Overall score: 7/10 (Decent)

Surveys On The Go is a survey app worth keeping on your phone. Although the surveys are far and few in between, they’re decently paying when you complete one. The app cashes out at $10 and pays by PayPal.

What is Surveys On The Go?

This is a legit survey app, though you won’t be making bank.

Surveys On The Go is a mobile survey app that provides you a way of offering your thoughts and opinions that you can redeem for cold, hard, cash.

Well, not physical cash.

Similar to any other survey app like Qmee, Survey Junkie, QuickThoughts, Surveys On The Go is nothing special.

The premise is the same: You’re notified of a new survey. You take it. And you get paid.

There are dozens (maybe even hundreds) of survey apps out there.

What it really comes down to is choosing the right app that has high-paying surveys that you can take without having to wait for the next one to show up. That’d be the dream.

Sadly, Surveys On The Go’s major downfall is that there are hardly any surveys and you’ll be waiting to get that “new survey” notification on your phone.

So it’s not something you can grind out on a daily basis for side hustlers.

How does it work?

Surveys On The Go works similarly to Google Opinion and SurveyMonkey Rewards where you get an alert when a new survey becomes available.

You can’t log in and find a bunch of surveys to choose from. But rather, you just keep the app on your phone and get a notification on your phone. You then take the survey.

Each survey consists of a few different data collection methods:

Multiple choice

Radio buttons

Dropdown menus

Freetext

Sliders

You do the survey and get paid. That’s it. There’s nothing hard about it. I’m sure most of you already know this, but I wanted to be fair for the newbies jumping on the beer money bandwagon.

How do you get paid?

Surveys On The Go pays you when you hit the minimum cash out threshold of $10. Compared to other apps, this is pretty much standard.

Not too high where it takes forever to reach and discourages you (and lets them run with your money). And not too low where you can withdraw your cash daily.

You can withdraw your earnings to redeem cash or virtual gift cards.

Here are all the different things you can earn:

PayPal cash

Virtual Visa cash

Amazon gift card

Starbucks gift card

That’s it. Plain and simple. Just hit the minimum of $10 and you can cash out. The process is simple: you just hit the $10 mark and then request to cash out.

You choose how you want to get your earnings and you get an email specifying the directions to cash out. It’s fast and automated.

How often do you get surveys?

This depends on surveyor demand.

You’ll get dry periods where you only have a few surveys per month.

Other times, you’ll get a few per week.

While it looks like there’s rhyme or reason, but I’m pretty sure seasonality has a role. Schools, researchers, and educators along with market analyzers all have rotating budgets.

But who cares about that? We have no decisions or say regarding that. Just take the survey as soon as it pops up and score those sweet dollars.

How to get more surveys

Their official site says that you’ll get 1-2 surveys per week. But in reality, it’s a lot more random than that. Sometimes I have a survey every week.

This is overestimating.

There is no way to get more surveys- it’s completely dependent on the surveyor’s target audience, how many people are using the app in your area, and how many people the surveyor wants to take their survey.

There are probably also other variables that affect the chances of you getting that survey alert, but it’s more than I care to research about. Who has time for that?

Regardless, it’s out of your control and there’s nothing you can do to get more surveys with Surveys On The Go. Just keep the phone on your app stack and enable notifications for it.

Android users should have them on by default. iOS users have the option to do so. This way, you can capture whenever a new survey shows up. Other than that, use other high-paying survey apps during the gaps.

The problem with Surveys On The Go – rejected surveys

Surveys On The Go has a common problem that most survey apps have- you can get declined for a survey halfway through the form and waste your time.

This is extremely frustrating when you give away your valuable thoughts/opinions just to be denied survey approval and paid a mere $0.10 rather than the full amount.

Sure, if you get screened out early, that ten cents may be worth it.

But what if you already put in 20 minutes or so just to be screened out near the end of the survey?

You just wasted your time and got paid slave wages.

This is acknowledged on their FAQ page, and they state that you can be disqualified from a PAYMENT because of these reasons:

This should help you get your payments on time.

But sometimes even when you do everything right, you STILL get DQ’d. I think some survey requesters abuse this system and screen you out after they collected their answers.

This way, you give them what they want and they pay you pennies on the dollar- in other words, survey fraud.

Surveys On The Go has a major problem with this and it’s just something you’ll have to deal with.

Thankfully, when you DO complete a survey, it pays well and makes up for all the BS ones you had to do. Woot.

How much can you make with Surveys On The Go?

This is a loaded question and the number one thing any beginner wants to know.

Here’s the truth about al these survey apps:

You’re not going to get rich.

You’re not going to replace your day job.

But you will be able to pay for your Netflix subscription (and maybe more) at the end of the month.

Even if you stack survey apps and grind all day, I doubt you’ll make more than working a traditional job. Even at minimum wage.

But hey, it’s money you can earn on your own time whenever you want. No boss. No schedule. It ain’t financial freedom, but it’s your side gig for now while you build your path.

So with that out of the way, let’s talk about earnings.

How much you can make with Surveys On The Go depends on how many surveys you get AND can complete without getting screened out.

Assuming you get a nice influx of surveys every week, you’ll make around $1-$4 per week.

So that means you’ll make $4-$16 monthly (on average).

The typical user I’d expect to reach the $10 cash out min within 2-3 months. Again, this varies depending on how many surveys you get.

Even if you keep getting disqualified, Surveys On The Go still pays you 10 cents for that and it adds up like interest in the bank.

Besides, when you DO complete a decent survey, the pay makes up for all the ones you were denied.

This is pretty decent pay for a survey app. Compared to others like Qmee or SurveyJunkie, Surveys On The Go has been the highest paying one on average. I just wish they were more consistent with their survey availability. But you can’t have it all.

Don’t rely on it to pay your bills. Their FAQ page lists the common reasons for payment denial.

So if you follow these tips, you should have minimal rejections. But not 100%.

Sometimes you get rejected even if you take the survey seriously. I guess the target demographic for the surveyor doesn’t match your profile.

The payout for Surveys On The Go isn’t bad for a survey app that doesn’t have consistent ones you can take. Just keep it on your phone with notifications ON and take ‘em when they crop up.

Track Cash

Here’s something pretty cool:

There’s an app called track cash that pays you $1.25 every week for having it installed. It’s for select users only, but if you come across the “survey,” consider downloading the app.

After you download it and have it running in the background, you’ll be paid $1.25 every single week in the form of a survey. This will double or even triple your earnings with Surveys On The Go.

Is Surveys On The Go legit?

Surveys On The Go is a legitimate app that pays.

You’ll probably be annoyed because of all the disqualifications you’ll come across and being paid a mere $0.10. But once you find a survey that gives you the big bucks, you’ll be stoked.

The app does take some time to earn enough to cash out, but it does pay you by PayPal, Visa, or gift card. I haven’t seen any reports of being banned when requesting payment or anything shady like that.

Plus, the support team seems to be reachable as they’re active in the user reviews, so that means they’re at least doing something:

You can see that their team even responds to 5/5 ratings.

Is it worth your time?

Yes, it’s worth your time as long as you don’t sit there waiting for a survey to show up.

When you get one, you take it and hope you don’t get DQ’d. it’s that easy.

Be fast and accurate so you don’t waste your time even if you get screened out.

Since this app doesn’t let you grind 24/7, there’s no way to measure a practical earnings/hour.

Is it safe?

Surveys On The Go’s support team seems to be pretty serious when privacy is mentioned. Their FAQ page says that your data is confidential and anonymous.

They also mention that the surveyors won’t know who you are and they won’t spam you with ads, emails, or phone calls. So that’s reassuring.

But then again, if you blatantly go around leaving behind your email, name, phone, or other means of contact within surveys (like when you put in free-text responses), that’s on you.

Don’t ever fill in your personal details even if the survey asks for it. Y

ou should report the problematic survey to Surveys On The Go to let them know. They may have slipped through the cracks. Stay private when you take these surveys.

Overall review: Surveys On The Go

Surveys On The Go is a decent survey app for mobile phones that pays.

Although you can’t do surveys all day and there are limited numbers you receive weekly, you do get paid a decent rate for the ones you qualify on.

Denied surveys are a thing, but you still get paid for your time.

Overall, it’s a good app to have on your phone to take surveys whenever they become available. It’s legit, pays a decent rate, and has good customer support for any questions. I’d say Surveys On The Go is worth having on your side hustle stack.

Need a need legit survey app to make some side money? Check out this review of QuickThoughts and learn if it's right for you.

QuickThoughts is a popular survey platform for Android, iOS, and the web.

Similar to any other survey site, it lets you take surveys for points, which can be redeemed for Amazon gift cards exclusively (no bank or PayPal withdrawals).

You can expect to make about $60 a month with it working 1-2 hours per day. So it’s decent beer money.

But it’s not all surveys and fun- because it does present its fair share of BS which may dissuade you and steer you over to a QuickThoughts alternative.

Let’s dive in and find out if QuickThoughts is worth it.

Details

Type: Mobile app, web

Platforms: Android, iOS, web

Price: Free

Registration required: Yes (name, address, phone, etc.)

Earning potential: $0-$10,000 per month

Realistic earning average: $5-25 per month

Time commitment: 1 minute per day

Estimated earnings per hour: $30 per hour (based on two month’s earnings)

Download the app: Android, iOS

See the official page

Pros

Plenty of surveys available

Some times you can earn quickly

Excellent for idle time

Cons

Only Amazon gift card redemptions (no bank or PayPal)

$10 threshold for cashing out

Banned accounts are common

No customer service

Plagued with problems when trying to redeem earnings

Overall score: 6/10 (Average)

QuickThoughts is a survey app that’ll allows you to earn Amazon GCs with a $10 cash out limit. The team behind the app seems to ban often and has little to no customer support, so that’s a problem. Some surveys will allow you to earn quickly, but these are rare and not frequent enough to warrant this as a primary money maker.

What is QuickThoughts?

QuickThoughts is a survey app that’s available for both smartphones and the web.

The app lets you “share” your thoughts in exchange for rewards. It’s not the only app of its kind, as there are many clones of the same thing with a different name.

After you download a dozen or so of these survey apps, each promising to be the best and highest-paying, you start to see how they’re pretty much just clones of each other- some crappier than others.

The app has some terrible reviews recently. It almost looks like they got review bombed with negative reviews.

Just look at this RECENT list of ALL reviews on the Play Store:

Regardless, QuickThoughts has a bunch of different ways to earn rewards. The bulk of it is through surveys from advertisers and requestors.

But you can also do local activities that pay you for completing “missions” which usually stop at various stores. There are also polls, secret shopper activities, and other random things.

I don’t care for those because they’re rarely worth your time.

You should focus on the surveys 99% of the time you use QuickThoughts because that’s the most efficient use of your time on this app. Ignore all the other activities unless you’re already outdoors. Or you’re just bored.

How does it work?

QuickThoughts works by providing you with a list of paid surveys.

Similar to Qmee and Survey Junkie, there are multiple surveys available at any given time so you don’t need to mess with waiting for a notification. This is good and bad.

The good is that you can do some paid surveys whenever you want during idle time. And you can try to maximize your earnings by choosing the ones that take the least time and pay the most money.

The bad is that most of them are garbage and will pay you a slave wage.

But then again, if you’ve done any survey app on the planet before, this is to be expected. There are only a few survey platforms that I’ve used that actually can pay minimum wage.

And even this is hard to hit because you need a streak of high paying surveys to take.

So anyway, you find a survey using QuickThoughts built-in matching system. You fill out some basic demographic details and it’ll match you with a survey.

After that, it’s just a matter of completing the survey and then earning your reward points.

It’s the same as any other old survey app.

They range from freeform text, multiple-choice, polls, opinions, and radio buttons/dropdown menus. The interface is easy to use and smooth with no problems. Longer surveys work fine. I’ve never gotten an error message or had any app crashes, unlike some other apps.

Then, there are also other options like secret shopper surveys and scout missions.

Both of these I ignore because I just don’t think they’re worth the time required. If you’re already out at the mall or something and you happen to find a local mission RIGHT there in the same mall, then yeah, it’s probably worth it.

But going out just to do these missions is highly underpaid when you factor in the time to get ready, changing, gas, wear on your car, etc.

So I just focus on the surveys exclusively and only when my other higher-paying opportunities are exhausted. QuickThoughts shouldn’t be used as a primary money maker as it’s very inefficient. Not to mention that you only get paid in GCs, which isn’t for everyone.

How do you make money with QuickThoughts?

You make money with QuickThoughts by completing surveys.

Each survey earns you points which you can redeem for Amazon GCs once you hit $10. Depending on the number of surveys that day and which ones you match with, your earnings per hour varies wildly.

How much can you make per hour? Per month?

You can make anywhere from $1-$8 per hour with QuickThoughts on average.

Upwards of $10/hour isn’t unheard of. This all depends on the surveys you take, their pay, and how quickly you can work without answering bogus responses.

You can do the math. If you’re making $2 an hour with QuickThoughts (a realistic estimate), and you do this for one hour a day, every day for a month, you’ll make about $60 a month.

Does QuickThoughts pay?

Yes, QuickThoughts is a legit app that pays. But this shouldn’t be news to you because there are a bunch of other apps that pay you more for the same thing.

Regardless, you can redeem your earnings for Amazon gift cards. There’s no other options for cashing out, unlike Qmee which lets you redeem in any way you want- including gift cards, PayPal, and direct deposit transfer to your bank.

If you don’t shop on Amazon, don’t use this app. There’s nothing else for you to redeem and your earnings (and time) will be stuck in perpetuity.

You can redeem every $10, which is the minimum threshold for cashing out.

How do you redeem your earnings?

You can redeem your “free” Amazon gift cards when you hit the $10 threshold.

The process is automated. You claim your prize and QuickThoughts will send you a code that you activate on Amazon. Then the reward amount is added to your GC balance. It’s pretty much exactly like SurveyMonkey or Qmee.

QuickThoughts lets you redeem your points easily. There’s no option for PayPal or bank transfers, so you’re stuck with gift cards. The process is fast and automated, so no complaints. You can buy everything on Amazon anyway, so this shouldn’t be a problem for most people.

Cash-out as soon as you hit the minimum amount though because being banned on QuickThoughts or blocked from logging in seems to be a prevalent problem.

Is QuickThoughts legit?

Yes, QuickThoughts is a legitimate survey app. It pays after you hit the minimum cash-out amount.

However, the app does have its fair share of problems- such as extremely low-paying surveys and the random banned accounts. If you don’t mind either of these problems, you can keep the app on your phone to do some surveys when you’re bored. It’s comparable to Qmee.

They both offer plenty of available surveys to take, but only a handful of them are worth your time at any given time.

Is it worth your time?

No, not if you have other alternatives to pursue.

QuickThoughts is only useful when you’ve exhausted all your other money-making methods and have absolutely nothing else to do. I’d suggest only using QuickThoughts during the times when you’re waiting around or extremely bored.

Or if you’re out in public and you just happen to come across some local “mission” that you can complete for some quick points.

Is the QuickThoughts app safe?

As with any survey app, the app is as safe as the data you give out.

QuickThoughts only asks for basic demographic information to fill out your profile and match you up with survey advertisers. And there’s nothing wrong with this because a more accurate match means everyone profits.

You take a survey you actually know about. And the advertiser gets feedback they can actually use. This is how surveys work. And how they’re SUPPOSED to work.

So you SHOULD provide accurate information to the team so they can match you with the right surveys.

But for the personal information you give out on the actual surveys you take, that’s up to you. Some surveyors may request personally identifiable information, which you should always avoid.

Any surveys that ask for your email, phone, address, name, or any other details that you can use to find out how you are should never be answered- at least that’s what I’d do. If you’re comfortable with giving out your info, you should understand the risks of doing so.

That’s your call.

Whatever survey you come across that requests these details MAY have slipped through QuickThoughts’s radar because these types of surveys should be labeled that it requests personal info. They should also pay more than regular anonymous surveys.

That’s proper etiquette.

So if you take a survey that pays low and takes forever to finish, and then it hits you for personal details, you best report it to the team.

How do you delete your QuickThoughts account?

You can message the customer support team to wipe your data and then delete your account.

After that, erase the app from your device. I’ve never done this myself, but I’d assume the team behind QuickThoughts must delete your data upon your request unless there’s some statement in the Terms or Privacy policy that allows them to keep your data on their servers.

The problems with QuickThoughts

Here’s what people are saying about the app. I’ve never personally had any of these issues to the point where it affected my earnings drastically, but it seems others have.

Customer service

QuickThoughts doesn’t have the most gleaming reviews for their email support.

Don’t expect to get a reply anytime soon, especially for critical issues like you being locked out of your account or unable to redeem your points.

Although the majority of users will (hopefully) never have to contact support, those that do will be waiting for a long time. Users stated that they sent multiple emails to no avail:

Getting banned

QuickThoughts has a nasty habit of banning people’s accounts for apparently no reason.

Although this has never happened to me, the number of reviews saying they were banned is startling.

Just look at these recent reviews of all the same thing:

This is nothing special.

I don’t know if these people are all examples of poor survey responses, or trying to game the system in some way or another. Or if QuickThoughts really is happy with the banhammer.

Whatever the case, you can contact their support here if you get banned. But the chances of redeeming your account is low. So whatever you do, don’t go into this venture thinking that it’s a surefire way to earn money.

With the possibility of having your account terminated at any point, you NEED to cash out every $10 when you can. Imagine having $50 in your account because you’re saving up and then the next time you try to log on, you’re banned. Cash-out early and cash out often.

Note that most people get banned when they try to cash outright at the $10 mark. Is this just bad business practice on QuickThoughts’ end trying to get people to do free labor and then hitting them with the ban hammer? Or is it just a coincidence?

Error messages

This also is a common issue with the app.

People report that they get errors when trying to connect such as “invalid country location” or “error, please try again” or “no network connection” when they launch the app.

Some people also report that they log in to QuickThoughts and have no surveys available to take, or are unable to redeem their points for rewards. While the surveys themselves work smoothly, the app does have its fair share of glitches.

I never had problems with these, but that could be because of the OS. I’m on iOS and most of these complaints are on the Android side.

Blacklisted

Sadly, once you get banned from QuickThoughts, you won’t be able to reinstate your account.

The majority of reviews I scanned from the web state that they got banned right around the $10 mark and couldn’t log back on or had errors on the app.

They then emailed support only to get no reply. So it’s almost as if their account was blacklisted by QuickThoughts. No big deal. If you like these kinds of apps (lots of surveys, but most are low paying), there are plenty to go around.

Try Qmee, which is less trigger-happy with the ban hammer and has decent support.

You can see just from their reviews on the Play Store that not once has a developer responded to user complaints:

This is quite common in the reviews.

QuickThoughts alternatives

There are plenty of alternatives to QuickThoughts: Qmee, Survey Junkie, Survey Monkey Rewards, Google Opinion Rewards, and more.

QuickThoughts doesn’t have anything special going for it, but it does offer nearly unlimited surveys to take. It’s good for some hardcore grinding if you’re bored and got nothing but time.

Otherwise, there are more efficient survey opportunities on other platforms that you should be using rather than QT.

Overall review

QuickThoughts is an app that you don’t want to use as your main money maker. There are plenty of other survey apps that pay more but offer fewer surveys.

You should only use this when you have nothing else to do during your downtime. It’s on par with Qmee, as both apps offer plenty of low-paying surveys that you can work for some side income.

If you’re OK with the risk of getting banned for no reason and possible errors when cashing out with no customer service, then QuickThoughts is right for you. I’d suggest keeping this app on your phone and only doing the high paying surveys when possible.

And only using it when you have no other money-making opportunities for the day- such as when you’re out and about in public waiting for your meal at McDonald’s (that was paid for with beer money).

Thinking of trying out Survey Junkie and wondering if it's legit? How much it pays? Or how to maximize your earnings? Check out this full review to learn everything you need to know.

Survey Junkie is an old and established survey platform with both web-based and mobile apps.

It’s one of the more popular apps, which should calm your nerves if you’re paranoid about scams and crappy survey sites.

But even the giants can be plagued with problems.

Let’s dive in and see if Survey Junkie is worth your time.

Details

Type: Mobile app, website

Platforms: iOS, Android, web

Price: Free

Registration required: Yes (phone, address, and more)

Earning potential: $0-$100 per month

Realistic earning average: $2-$30 per month

Time commitment: 30 minutes per day

Estimated earnings per hour: $3 per hour

Download the app: Android, iOS

See the official page

Pros

Always has surveys available

Direct deposit and PayPal withdrawals

Accessible on phones and desktop

Cons

Disqualifications are common

Most surveys pay slave wages

$10 minimum threshold for cashing out

Overall score: 6/10 (Average)

Survey Junkie is a survey platform available for desktops and phones. Screening out/disqualifications are frequent, but a plentiful amount of surveys maintains your earnings per hour. Cash out threshold is high at $10, but offers direct bank transfer, PayPal cash, and gift cards. The key is to find surveys that pay well with low completion times. Overall, worth to keep in your survey stack, but not worth priority attention.

What’s Survey Junkie?

Survey Junkie is a survey rewards app that pays you points which you can use to cash out for rewards.

There’s an option for direct PayPal cash, gift cards, and even direct deposit to your bank.

Direct bank transfer is a rarity in these types of apps, so it’s well appreciated and one of the few survey apps that allow it.

Similar to most survey sites, you get a queue of surveys to take. Completing one earns your virtual points. And the points redeem prizes.

The surveys come from both large and startup brands looking for your valuable opinion and feedback.

But who cares about that? You’re just in it for the money.

So let’s talk about it.

How does Survey Junkie work?

You log in to the app and see a queue of surveys.

You can scroll down to find one that suits the available time you have to dedicate, so it’s nice that the ETA to completion is listed.

Similar to apps like Swagbucks and Qmee, the time estimates are usually a lot higher than what it’ll actually take- in my experience. Working quickly and accurately is key.

Each survey also lists the number of points you’ll earn for finishing the survey. You need to find one that has a low time requirement but pays well. This is one way to maximize and optimize your earnings on Survey Junkie.

The minimum to cash out is 1,000 points, which can take some time to earn depending on how fast you work and the survey opportunities you get.

Survey Junkie requires that you complete the surveys or other “rewardable actions” to earn points. This means being disqualified during a survey will earn you nothing.

Something unique to Survey Junkie is a button that shows up and tells you when something you do will earn you points. It’s a green button that has a reward amount. Completing whatever the action is will earn you those points.

How to make money with Survey Junkie

Survey Junkie works just like any other survey app- Swagbucks, Qmee, QuickThoughts, etc.

You just choose a survey, take it, and get points for your efforts. Then you redeem it for PayPal cash, bank transfer, or e-gift cards. The choice is yours.

Survey Junkie makes money from advertisers paying for surveys on their site. The advertisers are looking for people to take their surveys and get feedback for their products and service.

Survey Junkie then pays us, the survey takers, a portion of that money that the advertisers paid. So advertisers get their feedback. Survey Junkie gets their cut. And we get paid.

Everyone’s happy, right?

Not always. There are some glaring issues with the app.

What’s wrong with Survey Junkie?

This app suffers from the same problem that plagues Qmee and many other survey apps- disqualifications.

If you’re new to this and don’t know the terminology, basically you get DQ’d from the survey you’re taking. Without pay.

So let’s say you find a 30m survey and start it.

You proceed through grueling and boring “fill in the response” prompts, radio buttons, multiple-choice, and true/false questions. You get to the final few pages. You’ve invested 25m of your time so far and can’t wait for that sweet, sweet point addition to your piggy bank.

Then you see the screen of doom. You get disqualified from the survey.

The survey ends and abruptly closes. And you’re greeted with a generic “Sorry, you don’t qualify for this survey” error message.

And now you’re back to the dashboard, didn’t get paid, AND wasted 25m of your time.

Congrats. That’s a disqualification for you. It’s also known as “survey denial” or “screened out.”

(Okay, you get paid like 2 points for being DQ’d. But that’s 2 cents.)

It’s a common problem with survey apps and many suffer from it. Survey Junkie is no exception.

SOME sites like SurveyMonkey Rewards or Google Opinion both will pay you even if you disqualify. But most don’t.

The problem is that the ones that guarantee a payment lack of available surveys. And the ones that have a lot of survey denials don’t offer guaranteed payments.

Why isn’t there a survey app that guarantees payment AND has a lot of surveys to take?

Getting disqualified is my biggest problem with Survey Junkie.

And if you read the recent reviews, you’ll see that it’s not only my problem:

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="721" height="194" src="https://howmuchcanyoumake.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/survey-junkie-review.jpg" alt="Survey Junkie disqualification." class="wp-image-250" title="Is Survey Junkie Legit?

Another common issue with the app is that it locks up or crashes when you’re halfway through a survey. This happens in maybe 1/30 surveys.

And it’s another waste of time. Your phone will suddenly freeze up and you’ll have to force close the app, which erases your progress since you can’t continue surveys once you start them. Longer surveys that pay more often trigger this bug.

Do you really get paid?

Yes, Survey Junkie is a legitimate app that actually pays. If you choose the right surveys and work quickly and accurately, you can pull in decent beer money weekly.

The available surveys fluctuate daily and 80% of the time they’re paying slave wages. But the trick is to only take the ones that pay highly, yet don’t take a lot of time. This is called maximizing your time.

You can get paid by PayPal, direct deposit, or gift card to your favorite stores.

You shouldn’t be surprised that you can “actually” get paid.

There are a lot of apps that work just like Survey Junkie (and some that pay more). It’s nothing new and has been around for decades. Making money online is the new side gig, my friend.

How much does Survey Junkie pay per hour?

This varies depending on a few different factors that all affect your hourly earnings:

Number of “worth it” surveys available

How much time you have to dedicate to taking surveys

How fast you work while not making mistakes

How many surveys disqualify you

On a good run, you can anywhere from 200-300 points an hour.

So the monetary equivalent would be $2-$3 per hour of work.

Of course, this number can fluctuate based on the variables listed above.

How much can you make in a month?

These earnings are typical if you don’t grind.

Survey Junkie has the potential to bring you anywhere from $20-$60 a month, on average. It all depends on the av of profitable surveys that are worth your time.

Obviously, if you spend all day on it, you’ll maximize your earnings because you can take new surveys as soon as they’re out.

But for the rest of us, I’d leave Survey Junkie as a filler app when other apps or opportunities are depleted.

You should only use it when your best money makers are exhausted for the day.

Use it when you can’t use those other apps or gigs. Or when you’re stuck doing something and burdened with idle time to kill.

Don’t rely on this app as your main beer money income. There are more efficient opportunities.

How do you get paid?

You get paid with points. You use the points to redeem rewards like PayPal cash, online virtual gift cards, and transfer to your bank account.

You can redeem every 1K points, so that means you need a minimum of $10 to cash out.

This can take you anywhere from a few hours to an entire month to earn. It all depends on the surveys you get, how many you get denied from, and how quickly you work and optimize your efficiency.

How long does it take to pay you?

The payment process is automated and you get a confirmation message as soon as you cash out with your payment method. PayPal requires verification of your account.

And bank account transfers take a few days to show up. I’d suggest sticking with PayPal because it’s faster and you don’t have to reveal your bank details.

You can also redeem your rewards on gift cards, which you can use to buy your favorite products.

What gift cards can you get from Survey Junkie?

Survey Junkie offers a dozen or so gift cards that you can use at a popular retailer.

Here’s the complete list:

Groupon

iTunes

Amazon

Sephora

Target

Walmart

Starbucks

If none of these do it for you, then use the PayPal cash redemption.

How legit is Survey Junkie?

Survey Junkie is as legit as any other survey app.

You can do the work and read their privacy policy and terms of use in detail if you want to know.

But any information you give them will likely be shared with advertisers to match their target demographic.

For example, it wouldn’t make sense for an advertiser that sells meat products to spend money targeting someone who’s a vegetarian.

Or for a survey requestor to sell an educational program for someone who’s not in school. This is why you have basic profile details so you can match with the right advertisers.

This helps that you have a lower chance of screenings out and advertisers don’t waste their ad budget on the wrong audience.

Survey Junkie is legitimate in the sense that you’ll get paid when you reach the minimum threshold (unless your account gets banned for some reason).

But there’s a lot of BS you need to put up with like survey disqualifications, freezing/crashing, or low-paying surveys.

And if you’re afraid of your data being sold or revealed to other parties, you should probably avoid survey apps altogether. It’s very difficult to see exactly what these companies do with your data, what they know, and who they send it to.

The last thing you need is more email spam and random letters in the mail asking you to sign up for services.

Is it safe to use?

One thing you should note is that your data is largely controlled by what you put out.

Some surveys ask you for your details like your address, name, email, etc.

Personally, I’d never put out this info even if the survey paid well. I only complete surveys that ask for the minimum and necessary demographics.

This depends on your level of comfort. Some people are cool with it and appreciate the extra pay.

Others are conscious of their privacy and will steer clear. Do your due diligence and whatever you’re comfortable with.

Is Survey Junkie worth the time?

It ain’t gonna make you rich overnight (or in the next decade).

But it can bring you some easy beer money in your spare time. The nice thing about Survey Junkie is that there are always surveys you can take.

And they have their ETA. so when you’re bored at the dentist, waiting for a ride, or on a terrible date, bust out your phone and take some surveys.

Here and there, it adds up. You’ll have an extra $20 bucks or so each month to spend on whatever you want. It ain’t much, but it’s honest work.

How do I maximize earnings Survey Junkie?

You can maximize your time on Survey Junkie and make the most of it by doing these two things:

Finding the surveys that pay decent rates

Working on them quickly and accurately

There’s no other way to earn faster because all the other variables you can’t control.

You can’t control survey rejections.

You can’t control the availability of surveys.

And you definitely can’t control your survey running into an error and shutting down your work.

How do I get rid of the app?

You can get rid of it by deleting it removing it from your device.

If you really never want to return at it again, send the support team an email and let them know that you’d like your account and everything associated with it deleted.

I still use this app so I’ve never deleted my data.

But that’s how I’d do it. If you try this and it works, report back and let us know.

Does Survey Junkie steal your information?

This depends on what you mean by “steal.”

I’m nearly 100% sure that somewhere in their terms of use and privacy policy there’s a clause that allows them to use your data, collect it, sell it, or somehow transfer it to third-parties.

Whether you consider this “stealing” or not is semantics.

On one hand, you did agree to this. Probably.

On the other hand, their servers may be breached, data could be leaked, or some other issue could happen where your data is exposed.

That’s a different definition of “stealing.”

Is Survey Junkie safe for bank transfer?

I’d avoid putting any sensitive details like your routing and bank account details on any apps or services that are unnecessary.

Why not just sign up for a PayPal account, or use it if you already have one, and then transfer from PayPal to your bank?

This way, your bank details are never revealed to Survey Junkie and you still collect your earnings. It’s just one extra step to transfer the dough.

But then you don’t have to worry and be paranoid by asking this question anymore.

Plus, there’s always the possibility of their servers being hacked or data leaks.

Alternatives to Survey Junkie

Survey Junkie isn’t unique in the survey space and there are plenty of other similar apps you can try out as a substitute if you’re having problems with it or as apps to add to your stack.

Here are a few similar apps that I wrote about:

SurveyMonkey Rewards (pays you for every survey)

Google Opinion Rewards (no rejections)

Qmee (basically Survey Junkie’s smaller brother)

Survey Junkie vs. Swagbucks

Survey Junkie is like a brother to Swagbucks.

They both allow you to earn “points” to redeem for cash or gift cards.

The main difference is that Survey Junkie is a lot slimmer and focuses on just surveys, while SB allows you to earn points in a variety of different ways like surveys, games, videos, search, shopping, and more.

Surveys are the main moneymaker for both entities, so if that’s all you care about, then they’re not that different. Both tell you ETA to finish the survey, how much you earn per survey and have similar rewards.

Swagbucks give you 1 cent per denied survey and Survey Junkie gives you 2 cents. That’s about it. You can stack both together to maximize your earnings. Or when one runs out of profitable surveys, you can switch.

Overall review

I think Survey Junkie is a decent app to add to your stack, but I wouldn’t use it as a primary money maker and would dedicate my time elsewhere.

It’s best suited for times when you’re idle and have time to kill. You can make a few cents a day and collect a few bucks a month.

This way, you’re earning at least SOMETHING when you’re doing nothing, which earns you nothing.

Just be ready for constant survey disqualifications.

Thinking about trying out Qmee? Learn about how much you can earn, how it works, and ways to earn more with this complete review of Qmee.

Qmee is an app that allows you to take surveys and earn cash (deposited directly to your PayPal account).

It’s one of the most popular survey apps that pay, and many beer money enthusiasts have it as part of their money making “stack” of apps.

But does it live up to the hype? Is it legit and worth your time?

No, not always. There are some things you should know first.

So let’s talk about Qmee.

Details

Type: Mobile app, website

Platforms: iOS, Android

Price: Free

Registration required: Yes

Earning potential: $0-$120 per month

Realistic earning average: $5-$30 per month

Time commitment: 20 minutes per day

Estimated earnings per hour: $0.19-$1.20

Download the app: Android, iOS

See the official page

Pros

Pays you in cash by PayPal

No minimum threshold for payouts

Plenty of surveys

Website available so you don’t need to only use your phone

Decent payment amounts

Doesn’t require unnecessary personal details

Cons

Complaints about random bans

App is plagued with errors, especially when cashing out

Lots of survey declines (screen outs)

Overall score: 7/10 (Decent)

Qmee is worth having on your phone as a secondary filler app for surveys. The surveys have a high rate screen out rate (nearly half), but you’ll often get enough to make up for lost time. The app also has decent customer service and a high risk of getting banned for no apparent reason, so cash out often. Qmee allows direct PayPal deposit to verified accounts. Focus on other survey apps that are worth your time, and leave Qmee for everything else.

What’s Qmee?

Qmee will decline surveys often (without pay).

Qmee is a survey app for Android and iOS. It’s similar to Google Opinion Rewards and SurveyMonkey– both of which have limited amounts of surveys so you can’t really “spam” or “grind” them all day every day.

There are other features of Qmee like earning from shopping and searching, but these hardly will pull in any cash and I don’t use them myself. So I won’t be reviewing them.

If your goal is to make money with Qmee, then you do the surveys. Ignore the other features unless you shop online a lot- to which then you can do some research on the shopping extension.

The surveys make you money and adds rewards to your stash in real time, which is one of the biggest motivators to do more. You can see your earnings jump up after each survey and it’s just so satisfying.

The main benefit of using Qmee over other alternatives is that there are usually enough surveys to keep you busy. Many apps suffer from having no surveys to take or only allow you to redeem your rewards in gift cards.

Qmee has plenty of surveys for the most part and pays you directly to your PayPal account, which is nice. But there ARE also gift cards for those who want them, such as Amazon, Starbucks, iTunes, and more.

How much can you make with Qmee?

Qmee has plenty of surveys for you to take, so it’s not like Google Opinion Rewards or SurveyMonkey, both of which limit you to just a few surveys per month whenever you get an alert.

Depending on how much time you have, you can make anywhere from a few cents to a few dollars per hour. On average, you’ll probably earn around $0.30-$1.20 for a full hour of surveys at a moderate pace. This is if you filter out the garbage ones.

Sometimes you’ll find awesome high paying surveys that’ll net you $3-4 in one hour. But most of the time, you’ll be fighting for pennies and taking surveys that decline you halfway through it, which wastes your time.

How to use Qmee

Qmee is easy to use and get working.

You make money by taking surveys that are released from various advertisers, schools, researchers, and more. These people are looking for valuable insights from a target population, and that’s where you come in.

You take the survey and submit it. Then you get paid by Qmee.

But only if were that easy:

Qmee’s worst habit = screening users out and technical problems.

Qmee makes money by charging the survey requesters and gives you a portion of the profits. They stay in business by being the middleman.

Get it? Does it make sense?

It doesn’t matter. All you need to care about are the surveys- taking them quickly and accurately to maximize your dollars per hour and make the most money with the app.

Each survey takes about 3-30 minutes to finish and you earn anywhere from just a few pennies to over a dollar each. It really depends on what you have time for and how fast you can take them while being accurate.

The specific range is 30 cents to 1 dollar, on average.

The surveys are easy, straightforward, and to the point. The UI and layout are easy to use and the app rarely has any technical problems like freezing.

So it sounds like the perfect app, right? Plenty of surveys with a variety of time to completion. But this varies depending on the “season.” Sometimes you’ll get a ton of surveys and other times it’ll be a ghost town.

This depends on the survey requestor’s supply of available surveys and how many people are using Qmee at the same time to complete them.

When lots of people are using the app and scouring for surveys simultaneously, then you’ll probably have a lot of competition to deal with and others will scoop up the surveys before you get a chance to do so.

While that’s nice, any side hustler will know that’s not enough to make some serious cash. Qmee is the answer to that because here you have plenty of surveys to take, BUT there are some glaring issues also.

The problem with Qmee

The main problem with Qmee is that about half the surveys you take will get you screened out.

The app has plenty of opportunities to make some side money, but you’ll get denied from a larger portion of them. The only way to “make up” for this wasted time is to take more surveys and take them quickly. This will put you ahead overall.

This is WASTING your time. Spending minutes taking a survey only to get declined halfway through it is NOT worth the effort.

Other survey apps pay you more for your time and Qmee isn’t always the highest-earning app available.

Some users do complain that you hardly have any surveys, but this wasn’t my experience with it. But I DID have a bunch that was declined/rejected because I wasn’t the target demographic from the survey providers.

And this is a common complaint with Qmee users:

Sometimes you’ll get a bunch that you can quickly take in a row and rack in the cash.

Other times you’ll get declined one after the other and it’ll just piss you off because you’re wasting time. There’s no way to “pre-screen” or match with a survey requestor, which is something that QMee should have by default.

Other than that, you can pull some nice side money. Even with all the rejections, you can balance them out with plenty of other surveys.

Qmee supports PayPal withdrawals and you can redeem any amount you want.

There are no threshold minimums, which is nice. I suggest you redeem every week or on some schedule rather than an amount because some users have left reviews that they got banned.

No point in keeping such high amounts in your account only to lose it. So redeem often. It doesn’t cost you anything.

Personal data

Compared to other survey apps, Qmee requests a reasonable amount of personal data to use it. You don’t have to give up access to your unnecessary details.

So for anyone out there that’s concerned about their privacy, this is one of those apps that’s doing it right.

Is Qmee worth it?

Don’t expect to get rich with it, but it’s worth your time if you’re idle.

For example, when you’re waiting for your food, appointment, your ride, the bus, or even just bored at home. You can always pick up Qmee on your phone and take a few surveys here and there.

The Qmee website also allows you to complete surveys and works a lot smoother in my opinion. It’s less prone to errors, so if your app constantly freezes up or throws an error message- try their site.

For real hustlers, you’re not going to want to grind Qmee as other apps pay much higher hourly rates.

But for those looking to just earn some small money, this app is worth your time. No fluff and no BS. Just plain easy and quick surveys- as long as you’re OK with getting kicked out constantly.

Expect this.

The rejection rates on Qmee seem to be lower than other survey apps from my experience, but being declined is sky high. They’re not as good as SurveyMonkey Rewards, which has nearly 100% approval rates so you know you’ll be paid for each survey you attempt.

Remember that rejection rates are your survey being rejected AFTER you take it. Decline rates are being “screened out” and not paid DURING the survey. They’re too different things.

Does Qmee pay?

Yes, Qmee pays at any amount and you can withdraw straight to your PayPal account. You do need to have a verified account though. So if you’ve been banned from PayPal, you’ll need to find a workaround.

There are gift cards you can redeem if you don’t have a PayPal account.

But you’ll be addicted fast. Seeing those dollars add up gets you hooked on the app.

Is Qmee legit?

Yes, Qmee is a legit survey app that pays you by PayPal and allows you to withdraw relatively quickly. The app does have some flaring issues, such as declined surveys.

There are plenty of legit apps on the app store, so don’t limit yourself to JUST Qmee. You should use it as a filler app for when you have nothing to do. That are other survey apps that pay more.

As mentioned earlier, this is the most annoying problem with Qmee if I had to pick one- and it’s a big one.

You can be halfway through a survey and then you get screened out, which means all that time you just spent answering all those questions was wasted for nothing.

Qmee will shut down your survey attempt and pay you nothing.

Other than that, Qmee does pay and you can earn pretty quickly compared to other survey apps. I’d recommend it in your “stack” of survey apps. It’s easy to do when you’re bored or waiting for something and you can rack up a few bucks here and there.

Overall review

Qmee won’t make you rich, similar to any other survey site. You shouldn’t come in expecting to make nonstop cash all day every day.

This is best for picking up some extra surveys when you’re bored or other sites are out of surveys for you to take (like Amazon MTurk).

There are more efficient uses of your time compared to Qmee, but if you’re feeling daring, Qmee may be worth a try. Just don’t expect a high approval rate for your surveys and expect to be declined now and then.

Use the app when you have nothing else to do or no other survey opportunities.

Thinking about trying out Honeygain to earn passively? Find out if it's legit, how much you can earn, and how it works in this complete Honeygain review.

Honeygain is an app for Android, PC, and Mac that allows you to earn money passively by selling your unused bandwidth.

You’re literally being paid to do nothing- every beer money maker’s dream.

But often times, if it sounds too good to be true- it is. Is this the case with Honeygain?

Let’s find out in this complete Honeygain review.

Details

Type: Desktop and mobile app

Platforms: Android, PC, Mac (no iPhone)

Price: Free

Registration required: Yes (email, phone, driver’s license, location, name, DOB, driver’s license/passport)

Earning potential: $0-$300 per month

Realistic earning average: $1-$30 per month

Time commitment: 1 minute per day

Estimated earnings per hour: $0.01-$1.40

Download the app: Android, PC, Mac.

See the official page

Pros

Earn money passively by running a program

Works on Android phones, PCs, and Macs

Free to use

$20 payout threshold

Cons

Concerns about data collection, privacy, and how your IP and info are used

Some issues with payout not being approved

Lots of questionable and fake reviews posted online with referral code spam

Overall score: 5/10 (Average)

Honeygain allows you to truly earn money passively by selling your bandwidth. The earnings are fluctuating constantly and far from stable. There are some concerns regarding data collection, usage, payments, and harvesting are also questionable, but otherwise Honeygain doesn’t seem to have any drawbacks. Although this DOES use up data on your phone and electricity on your computer, any smart user should be able to mitigate these negatives and remain profitable and make a few bucks a month of beer money.

What is Honeygain?

Honeygain is an app for Windows PC, Mac, and Android (with plans for iOS) that allows you to earn money passively by selling your unused internet bandwidth.

The app boasts and advertises itself as truly passive income and many users agree that you can really “earn money doing nothing.”

While this sounds amazing for someone who doesn’t care if they earn a few cents on the side passively, it also sounds too good to be true.

Let’s dive in and review Honeygain for 2020.

How does it work?

Honeygain works by selling a portion of your available bandwidth to other uses anonymously.

The company behind the app states that your bandwidth will be used for researchers and scientific purposes, as you can see here:

Okay, but what are they doing with the data exactly?

While they’re not specific on WHAT exactly your bandwidth will be used for, that leaves a lot up in the air.

This vagueness would be what makes a lot of users paranoid to use the service because there’s a lot of uncertainty.

Honeygain’s network is used by businesses clients for web intelligence and content delivery

The traffic will come from approved business partners who run web intelligence, market research and content delivery services.

Honeygain shares your unused net traffic with data scientists

People are worried that you can get hacked (backdoors, malware, data harvesting, etc.)

People have actually claimed to have BEEN hacked:

But who knows the actual root cause of the problem?

People are paranoid about the people that use your bandwidth- are they doing something illegal? Are they posing as you? Who’s IP gets sent behind their activities?

After all, the service is “free” for you when you loan out your bandwidth. And we all know that nothing is free. No sir.

Is this worth the potential for a few cents or dollars each day? That’s your call.

If I had to guess, I’d guess that Honeygain uses your resources for VPNs.

After all, they’re just a tunnel of points that route through a path and your IP is just one of the data points in the tunnel. Unless you’re an endpoint. Then that’d expose your IP to whatever they’re doing in the background. Yikes.

How do you make money with Honeygain?

You just let the app run in the background while you do something else. On the PC and Mac, you just leave it in your taskbar and you can use your computer as normal.

Honeygain states that you shouldn’t notice any decrease in your connection speed or performance and that it only utilizes a free, unused portion of your bandwidth.

The same goes for Android phones. You just launch the app and it’ll show an icon in the notification bar when it’s active.

When you pull up the app, you can see how much bandwidth you sold in near real-time. The dashboard tells you how much ‘honey’ you’ve gathered, which converts to USD.

$300 a month for doing nothing?

It’s just like virtual currency and has a conversion rate- almost like mining Bitcoin.

The more bandwidth you sell, the more money you’ll earn.

There are peak hours of usage and many factors determine how much you’ll earn with Honeygain:

The time of day users are active

Your country and location

Your connection speed

How many devices/accounts you have

If you hit peak hours and you’re in a popular country with a good connection, you’ll earn the most money.

Of course, there are plenty of unknown elements too:

Who’s using your bandwidth and when are they active?

Where are they located?

Honeygain allows you to use as many devices as you have, so you can double or triple your income. There are also no account registration limits and you can have as many as you want.

This isn’t necessarily a good thing. Why?

Because people abuse it.

People have created dozens of accounts powering dozens of devices all running Honeygain. When a lot of people do this, the supply of Honeygain bandwidth goes up.

But the demand? It stays flat.

Too many people jumping on the bandwagon means fewer earnings.

This means more people are selling their bandwidth than users are using it. And that means fewer earnings for everyone. This is probably why Honeygain has declined in earnings so rapidly lately.

One thing I should note is that the developer does respond to most of the negative replies, but the responses are canned templates.

How much can you make with Honeygain?

Honeygain has had a ton of mixed reviews.

From what I can gather, it looks like the service used to be decent in how much you can earn. There are reports of anywhere up to $50 a month, which isn’t bad at all considering you don’t have to do anything. That’s more than you’ll earn from bank interest with a $1K savings account.

But the recent reviews suggest otherwise. Honeygain has gone downhill and the earnings have declined over time.

Why? Well, the sudden spike in the supply of bandwidth probably has to do with it.

People who were earning a few dollars per day have now dropped to just a few cents:

People who were making $1 a day now make nothing.

People who were making $50 a month now make a few dollars.

A drop in earnings is commonplace.

The minimum earnings to cash out is a fair $20. But who knows how long it’ll take you to reach it. The dashboard gives you a few details like your current honey balance, the USD equivalent, how close you are to payout, how much you earned today, and the GB usage of the last 30 days.

Until Honeygain does some to either sell more bandwidth or limit the supply of users, the earnings will continue to decrease as everyone hops on the bandwagon.

If you were to go out there right now and run it for a day, you’d likely make anywhere from 10-60 cents per day. But then again, this varies depending on many different factors.

There’s no way to “force” the system to sell more of your bandwidth.

Many people report that they start with lots of bandwidth but it decreases sharply over time. The traffic you get seems to fluctuate intermittently with no rhyme or reason.

There’s also a “content delivery” program (which people call “CD”) that. This lets you share your connection with bandwidth-demanding multimedia like videos, audio, streaming, etc.

This is difference from traditional credits which is measured by KB. Content delivery allows you to earn by duration. So the longer you’re connected, the more you’ll earn. This is currently in beta.

Is Honeygain legit?

It has a 4/5 star rating on TrustPilot with over 400 reviews. But a ton of them are just referral code spam:

Spam spam spam.

Yeah, anyone with some common sense will come to the same conclusion.

The poor English grammar used throughout the bulk of the “positive” reviews is startling. I mean, I’m not perfect either (far from it).

But some of the reviews look like they’re written by a poorly-programmed AI, or bought. Is there a bunch of VPN users in other countries trying to disguise themselves in a tier 1 location? Oh, the irony.

You’ll likely start earning a few cents the first day you sign up. But the earnings will vary, it’s far from consistent. Some days you’ll earn nothing and other days you may earn more.

Of course, the more devices you have, the more you can multiply your earnings.

Some users have reported that they were in a “slump” and not earning much.

But after a few weeks, they earned a lot more with increasing bandwidth sold.

And lastly, some people reported that they didn’t get paid. They attempted to redeem their earnings and weren’t able to pass validation or something.

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="790" height="223" src="https://howmuchcanyoumake.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/honeygain-legit.jpg" alt="honeygain legit Honeygain Review - Is it Legit? (2020)" class="wp-image-186" title="Honeygain Review - Is it Legit?
Some had their accounts closed also or suspended when they tried to redeem payments.

The server also seems to have problems. It fluctuates and goes online then offline randomly. This can directly affect your earnings. You can’t earn anything if the servers are down.

Not to mention the personal info they ask for:

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="775" height="271" src="https://howmuchcanyoumake.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/honeygain-worth-it.jpg" alt="Honeygain scam." class="wp-image-187" title="Honeygain Review - Is it Legit?

How to earn faster with Honeygain

The functionality of the program can’t be modified by the end-user (that’s you), so you can’t do anything to control it.

You can’t sell more of your bandwidth as you don’t control this. It completely depends on how the program assigns users to utilize your available free bandwidth.

There are no options, sliders, or toggle switches for you to adjust. You can’t sell more or less. It’s a fixed amount that you don’t see. Therefore there’s not much you can do to other than to run the program 24/7.

But here are two ways to maximize your earnings.

Get referrals

Like most apps and programs that let you make real money, there’s a built-in referral system.

This is why people are spamming their codes with five-star ratings all over the ‘net (so you’ll sign up because of a positive review). Referrals will net you real cash quickly- a lot faster than selling your bandwidth.

Referrals give you a $5 payment. You also earn 10% of their of their earnings, so if you refer enough people you don’t have to do anything yourself, similar to most other referral programs. Then again, you’re not doing anything in the first place to run this in the background.

Add more devices

The other ways to simply buy more IPs, create more accounts, and add more devices. This will double or triple your income, though each device will vary. Is it safe?

Who knows. Honeygain claims that your data is only used for researchers and that it’s anonymous, but people have said that they were hacked after using it. They’re also not exactly clear about how your data is harvested, or how your bandwidth is used by others.

There’s no description about your IP address or computer details being revealed. Being that this is the main gray area of Honeygain, they should clean it up and be more discretionary about what users can expect and how their bandwidth is used.

Why are they so vague?

There’s nothing new about this technology. There are plenty of other services that allow you to sell your unused bandwidth for cash. Honeygain just happened to catch some early traction given its debut in 2019. Perhaps users who got hacked did so from other means.

Or maybe there’s an exploit Honeygain isn’t even aware of in their program. Who knows.

Is it worth it?

This depends. If you have a crappy, slow connection, Honeygain will probably impact your speed.

This will make doing other activities on your phone or computer slower, which costs you time.

Time is worth a dollar equivalent.

And depending on what yours is worth, this is how you can decide if Honeygain is worth it for you.

Let alone if you only make a few cents, the power in running your computer 24/7 or your phone’s data plan can easily set you into the negative.

Is it legal?

Honeygain is legal and according to their Terms of Service.

(Of course they’d label themselves as legal- what company would outright tell the public what they’re doing is illegal?)

But I wouldn’t trust the people who use the bandwidth sold to them.

Who knows what they could be doing with it. The company says that your data is not sold and is anonymized, but then again, data always can be exploited and hacked.

So I wouldn’t put all my eggs in one basket and take their word for it. Let alone the company doesn’t go in-depth to build trust from its users regarding safety, which is one of the main complaints about the app.

Is it passive?

Yes, Honeygain is 100% passive since you let the program run on its own and sell your bandwidth automatically.

This doesn’t require you to do anything other than starting it up and then leaving it alone.

This is what draws many people to the program. I mean, who else wouldn’t want “free” money for doing nothing? This also probably led to decreased earnings over time.

Overall review

Honeygain is a real way to earn a small income passively without having to put in any effort.

But don’t expect to get rich. The earnings are anything from a few cents to a few dollars every month.

Some users do upwards of $50 monthly, but these are far and few in between. The majority of users will only earn a few bucks for running the program in the background. But then again, you’re getting paid to sell your bandwidth that you’re not using.

Just watch out for data overages if you are running Honeygain on your phone or if you have a capped internet plan. Minus the reports of suspended accounts, fluctuating earnings, or sudden drops in income, Honeygain makes a truly passive way to earn a few bucks.

That is if you can get over the privacy and data harvesting portion of it. If you really trust the company or just don’t care about how/if your data is used or collected, then, by all means, give Honeygain a try.

Thinking of downloading Google Opinion Rewards? Wondering how much you can make or how to get more surveys? Check out this full review.

So, you’re wondering how much you can make with Google Opinion Rewards.

Another survey app. Another possible waste of time.

But this one’s developed by the tech giant Google themselves. How does it stack up against the dozens of other survey apps out there? Does it pay? Is it legit?

Let’s find out. I’ve been using this app for almost a year now so I think I’m well-versed in what it has to offer- though your experience varies depending on your lifestyle. Details to come.

Details

Type: Mobile app

Platforms: iOS, Android

Price: Free (no ads)

Registration required: Yes (email required)

Earning potential: $0-$6 per month

Realistic earning average: $1 per month

Time commitment: 1-10 minutes per month

Estimated earnings per hour: Varies

Download the app: iOS or Android

See the official page

Pros

Surveys are only 1-2 minutes on average

Surveys are approved, credited, and earnings appear right away

Low withdrawal limit of just $2

PayPal cash for iOS users

Cons

Android users can only redeem Google Play credits

Requires location access for access to more surveys

Very few survey opportunities

Overall score: 6/10 (Average)

Google Opinion Rewards is a legit app that pays you to take surveys in exchange for PayPal withdrawals or Google Play credits. The surveys are quick, easy, and functional. Credits are given automatically. With a low withdrawal limit of just $2, it’s easy to claim your earnings. But the biggest problem is a lack of survey opportunities, which makes earnings unpredictable. Still worthy of having on your phone for the off-chance that you get a new survey.

What’s Google Opinion Rewards?

Google Opinion Rewards is a mobile survey app developed by Google for iOS and Android that lets you take surveys as they become available to earn PayPal cash or Google Play credits. It’s similar to any other app that pays you to take surveys like SurveyMonkey Rewards, QMee, etc.

How much can I earn from Google Opinion Rewards?

Unlike other survey apps, this one pays you in cash via PayPal ONLY IF you’re an iPhone user. Android users can only redeem for Play Store credits.

That instantly skews the market in favor of iOS.

No need to redeem through gift cards or virtual currency. You take the surveys, build up your cash reserves, and cash-out by PayPal.

Google Opinion Rewards has a mere $2 minimum withdrawal limit, thus making it one of the lowest cashout amounts available.

Of course, many users are NOT happy about this discrepancy between the two operating systems:

Google Play users will need to redeem credits.

But Play Store gift cards ain’t half bad, especially if you use it to buy your favorite games, movies, shows, or OTHER apps that can make you some beer money.

Does it pay?

If you want a no BS, no fuss, and no-nonsense way to earn money taking surveys on your phone, this is an app you’ll want to download.

If you’re an iOS user, you can redeem your earnings by PayPal.

If you’re an Android user, you can only redeem Play Store credits.

Other than this, the app pays. Just make sure that if you’re using your PayPal email, you type in the RIGHT ONE. Don’t get it confused for your iCloud email if you’re an iOS user because they’ll credit you to the email you enter. Putting in the wrong one means that your payments will be missed and there’s no support:

But let’s talk about the two main drawbacks first.

How does it work?

First of all, the app requires your location to give your surveys.

A lot of people don’t care, but for the minority who value their privacy, you may not be happy to hear that the app monitors your GPS to see where you’ve been.

Based on this, they assign you surveys to review your recent experiences at various shopping centers, restaurants, malls, etc. On one hand, you can think of it as a “follow up review” survey for the places you’ve been recently.

But on the other, you’re giving away your location to a variety of advertisers. Nothing is free in the world, friend.

And the second gripe- there are very few surveys to take. Maybe this is just me being a hermit and staying home all day, but you have to go out and do things to get surveys to take. If you stay home all day or spend most of your time in a few locations, you probably won’t get that many surveys.

For example, you wake up, go to work, stop at your favorite coffee shop, go back to work, then come home. Repeat that 5x a week. You’ll probably get just a few surveys monthly. Hardly anything to write home about.

But if you go out a lot and are a social butterfly (not required), you’ll likely have more survey opportunities available.

For example, you like to eat out at different restaurants, visit malls on weekends, go to national parks, visit your favorite museums, and pretty much explore anything and everything. This will net you a bunch of surveys asking you to rate your recent experience.

There aren’t that many survey opportunities

I don’t know how accurate the app is- like if it actually KNOWS you spent money/time at a specific commercial area. Or if you all you need to do is go nearby the target location for it to credit you with a survey. I don’t go out enough to know.

All I can say is that I spend 99% of my time at home, other than a few excursions for necessities here and there. Then back to the cave it is.

And because of this, I’ve only had maybe 2-3 surveys in a period of 8 months. That’s pretty terrible. Even with the $2 cash-out amount, I may take quite some time to reach it and get my reward money.

There are also surveys for those who don’t go out. Don’t get me wrong.

There are some opportunities where the app will send you a “general” survey which I think applies to all audiences or people in a specific state or city.

Who knows what Google’s targeting features are on the advertiser side of the app. I just didn’t bother to check because I didn’t want to adjust my lifestyle around an app that forces me to go out to get more surveys.

That’d be wasting time and money unnecessarily, which destroys the purpose of Google Opinion Rewards.

According to SOME recent reviews I read on the Play Store, you may need to actually make a purchase for the app to send you a survey:

And you can see that the app’s lack of surveys is a common complaint amongst users:

How much can I earn from Google Opinion Rewards?

When you receive an actual survey, you have a limited time to take it. The interface is just like any other survey app (SurveyMonkey Rewards, Qualtrics, TypeForm, etc.) It works. And there’s no real difficulty to it.

You can expect the usual run of the mill questions:

Multiple selection

Radio buttons

Single selection

Free text fields

There’s no learning curve and it’s easy to use even for someone new to survey apps.

There are rarely any surveys that take a long time.

Most of them are short and sweet with just a few questions that’ll make you less than a minute to answer.

On average, you can expect $0.20 per survey since they’re so easy. The survey time only spans for a few minutes, and most can be completed in less than 1-2 minutes.

But after you take one, you can expect another one to show up within 2-3 weeks. It’s not consistent at all and this is the worst part about the app. Other complaints include that your credit suddenly disappear, which seems to plague a small portion of users.

One option is to enable the GPS and have it turned on the entire time. If you do this, you can expect 24/7 monitoring of your location (not that phones don’t already do this).

Plus, the additional battery drain you have to deal with. There’s no good reason to enable this feature unless you’re on a road trip and stopping all over the place.

How do I get more surveys on Google rewards?

One of the biggest complaints about the app is that there are very few surveys to actually take. If you scour the reviews, there’s a bunch of people leaving 1-star reviews all asking the same question:

Why don’t I get surveys from Google Opinion Rewards?

There’s no real way to rack up more surveys other than to:

Enable location tracking (turn it to “always allow”)

Go to a bunch of random shops, restaurants, etc.

That’s about all you can do to raise your chances of getting more surveys to take from what I know.

You need to go places and do things so the GPS can pick up your history and serve you surveys. Kind of like what this person says:

That’s what the GPS is for.

The supply of surveys also depends on what companies are advertising, where they’re targeting, and the number of companies buying these surveys for people to take.

Again, if you stay home a lot or go to the same places frequently, you’re probably exhausted out of survey opportunities. But if you go out often to new places, then you’ll likely get more surveys to take.

The actual behind the scenes logic for how many surveys you get is more complicated than a mere user can explain.

Is Google Opinion Rewards legitimate?

Google Opinion Rewards is a legit app that pays you in PayPal cash or Play Store credits, depending on your mobile device.

The threshold is very low at just $2, but you do need to spend some time and have some (or a lot of) patience to build up your credits to cash out.

With the slow influx of available surveys, you won’t be getting rich anytime soon.

Is it free?

Yes, it’s completely free to use and there are no ads. There’s also no “tier” or “premium” version. Everyone gets the same app.

But the number of surveys you get will vary depending on where you go, where you’ve been, what you’ve done, and what you’ve bought.

And the GPS location seems to be the only way to adjust this by the end-user (you). I’m sure there’s a much more complicated algorithm that runs in the background that probably even tracks your credit card purchases and somehow links it to your account.

You’d be surprised at what advertising tracking knows about you. But for us casual folk, that’s over our heads.

Is it worth it?

Google Opinion Rewards can be worth it only if you don’t expect to make any money quickly.

Some people have earned some decent beer money with the app over an extended period:

But the number of people complaining that there are no surveys to take seems to outweigh them.

Perhaps this is the balance of people that go out vs. the ones that stay home?

Regardless, the surveys are super easy and fast when you get them. And you’ll get a notification on your phone to let you know there’s a survey available.

So I don’t see the harm in just having the app on your phone and racking up those dollars. Slowly.

Also, GPS tracking. Don’t leave it on all the time, especially if you don’t go out or you’re staying in the same places all the time.

You’re just draining your battery for nothing. You only need tracking if you’re moving from place to place or out shopping at a bunch of different locations.

Overall thoughts

Google Opinion Rewards is a decent app that pays, but you won’t be making money quickly with it.

The number of surveys is lackluster and each survey has a very low payment amount on average.

However, they’re very easy and short, so your time is valued and you don’t feel like you wasted anything. Survey credits are given automatically and there’s no delay.

The minimum threshold is just $2 by PayPal for iOS and Play Store gift cards for Android users.

Even with the minimal amount of surveys you get, there’s no harm in keeping this app on your phone just for the off-chance that you’re bored and survey crops up. Just watch the GPS. Turn it on when necessary.

And cross your fingers that you’ll get a notification for new available surveys.

Surveymonkey Rewards is an app for iOS and Android that allows you to take surveys to redeem for Amazon gift cards.

The app is legit and does pay, but I wouldn’t depend on it for a steady source of income.

Let’s talk about this app in detail. And see how much you can make with SurveyMonkey Rewards.

Cons

Requires location data for more surveys

Very few surveys, no consistency

No cash rewards, only Amazon gift cards

Overall score: 7/10 (Decent)

SurveyMonkey Rewards is an easy way to make a bit of beer money. The surveys are quick, easy, and automatically approved. You also get paid for disqualified surveys. Withdrawals are automated and fast with a low cash out limit. Even though you can’t earn cash, gift cards from Amazon are still worth it. Surveys are inconsistent, so don’t expect to earn GCs fast.

What’s SurveyMonkey Rewards?

SurveyMonkey Rewards lets you take surveys on your phone for Amazon cards.

It’s an app for iOS and Android made by SurveyMonkey that lets you take surveys directly on your phone.

The platform was built for the desktop browser, but this allows mobile users to get in on the action and take surveys for cash.

The app will periodically send you surveys to complete which range from 1-5 minutes.

Longer and involved surveys (writing) often pay more with shorter surveys paying just a few quarters.

Shorter surveys give you a few cents. MInimum cash out is $5 and it’s an automated process.

At the moment, there’s no way to earn actual cash (PayPal, Venmo, Payoneer, etc.) and Amazon GCs are the only thing you can redeem.

However, Amazon cards are just as valuable nowadays because you can find everything on there. No complaints here.

Does SurveyMonkey Rewards pay?

Yes, SurveyMonkey Rewards is a legitimate mobile app that pays. You can earn a few cents up to a few dollars, depending on the length and difficulty of the survey.

However, you don’t get paid in cash. The mobile app only offers Amazon.com gift cards as a reward.

How much can you make with SurveyMonkey?

This depends on a variety of factors.

First, the main problem with SurveyMonkey Rewards is the lack of surveys. I only get one survey every week or so, and this is no way predictable income.

If you’re still wondering if SurveyMonkey pays. My answer is a firm “yes.”

The surveys you get range from a few seconds of your time up to 5 minutes or so. I haven’t seen any super lengthy ones that take any longer than a few minutes to complete.

And even if you get screened out (not the target audience), you’ll still get a small cash reward (in Amazon gift cards) for your time. So basically, every survey you take through the app will pay you something.

But actually GETTING the surveys is the problem. Don’t expect to be flooded with surveys that you’ll have them piling up at a time. That never happens. In fact, you can only take a single survey at any given time.

Here are some recent reviews complaining about the same problem:

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="708" height="221" src="https://howmuchcanyoumake.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/surveymonkey-rewards-how-to-get-more-surveys.jpg" alt="SurveyMonkey Rewards review." class="wp-image-134" title="Is SurveyMonkey Rewards Legit?

There’s no “dashboard” with a queue of surveys for you to take. When one pops up, you’ll get an alert on your phone and once you launch the app, you’ll see that there’s a survey waiting- along with the reward and time commitment.

The surveys are far and few. I’m not sure if this is because of my profile demographics, or it’s just the nature of the business.

You fill out a profile when you first sign up that matches you to companies paying for survey audiences. I don’t know the type of person that these companies are looking for, so I just filled in profile demographics that apply to me. I’m guessing that many people lie and put fake information to score more surveys, but that’s not here nor there.

Most surveys will ask you for your basic demographics anyway, so I’m not sure if they can see that it doesn’t match what you put for your profile if you forget what fake details you put.

Regardless, you can change your profile details anytime, so nothing is permanent. You can tweak and adjust your age, location, job, home, car, number of kids, income, pets, etc.

I didn’t bother to play around with the settings, but I’m sure there’s a happy medium somewhere.

The other thing is that the app will request your location every time you use it.

This is to target survey takers and you can choose to allow access to your GPS only when the app is open OR all the time. If you don’t get that many surveys, the team recommends that you let it collect your location 24/7 for more.

While that’s nice, I didn’t bother opting in because I don’t need to earn a few cents for constant battery drain and access to my location all day long.

But some people care:

Privacy does matter.

But hey, that’s up to you.

When a survey comes in, you just go through and fill out all the fields. It’s pretty much like any other survey software (Qualtrics, etc.) where you go through and fill out free text, radio buttons, multiple choice, and drop down lists.

Most of the surveys work as expected, but some have programming issues where the survey creator requires a field that’s optional (don’t you hate that?) or other similar problems.

Regardless you go through the survey and get paid. The amount is credited to your account immediately and there’s no approval/rejection. Every survey will earn you a reward.

Now let’s talk about the actual amounts:

For shorter surveys (up to 1m in length), they generally pay $0.25-0.50.

For medium surveys (2-5m), they generally pay $0.75-$1.25.

And for longer surveys, (5m+), you can expect upwards of $1.50.

These are averages and completely depend on the survey creator and what’s required to complete it.

Based on these averages, you can make about $5 per month in amazon gift cards with SurveyMonkey Rewards.

It ain’t much, but it’s honest work.

Even though the pay is definitely on the higher side for the time required, the problem is that you’ll only get a few surveys per month.

So at most, SurveyMonkey Rewards is best for some beer money. It ain’t gonna pay your utilities.

How do I get more surveys on SurveyMonkey?

This is something that many people (including myself) have asked. There is no secret. It seems like the app just matches you to a survey based on the target profile demographic.

Unless you can find out what the majority of companies that use the platform target, you’ll just have to get the surveys as they come. You can also adjust your GPS settings to always on if you want to qualify for more.

Otherwise, there’s not much you can do. Once a survey shows up, you need to complete it within 24 hours. It’ll disappear if not.

Sometimes, I found that even though I received the notification for new surveys and I launched the app a few hours later (within the 24 hour timeframe), it disappeared. I’m not sure what happens.

So I wouldn’t rely on waiting until you have free time to take them. You should take them as soon as they crop up- maybe in the bathroom at work.

Some people reported that after you redeem your first gift card, more surveys will appear. I can’t confirm nor deny this, but if it’s true, it makes sense as they give your account more trust.

Is SurveyMonkey Rewards legit?

Yes, the rewards program is a legitimate way to earn some side income in the form of amazon gift cards.

They pay as soon as you reach $5 and you can choose to redeem or wait. It gets sent to your email within a few minutes and you just redeem the code on amazon.

Other than the profile demographics you provide, survey answers, and your GPS location, I don’t think they collect any other information from you. Perhaps your device stats just to make sure you don’t game the system.

SurveyMonkey is a leader in the survey space and is right up the ranks with Qualtrics and TypeForm.

Is SurveyMonkey safe?

Yes, the app is safe.

But the information you hand out to advertisers during the surveys is your responsibility.

Again, the APP collects your basic demographic profile, GPS location, and other details about your device.

But the actual SURVEYS will ask you questions that were created by the advertisers or companies creating them. You need to safeguard any personal details and never provide them to surveyors and that’s your responsibility.

Otherwise, surveys may not be for you.

Is it free?

Yes, the surveymonkey rewards app is completely free to use. It doesn’t show ads and doesn’t have any tiered system.

You just download the app and take surveys whenever they’re available.

That’s it. Easy peasy.

Is it worth your time?

I’d say so, because each survey is relatively short and can be completed within a few minutes.

The pay is also high compared to other survey apps for phones.

And even though you’ll only get a few surveys here and there, it really does add up to some nice gift cards that you can use on amazon. I’ve been using the app for about 6 months now and I’ve cashed out at least 3 times.

Sure, it’s not a lot of money. But when you actually TAKE a survey, the time required and payout is well worth it. And with a low cashout threshold ($5), it’s easy money. Not passive. Not a lot. But easy.

Overall review

You can redeem Amazon gift cards easily, but it takes time.

SurveyMonkey Rewards is a legitimate app that’s worth the download.

The app is straightforward and easy to use with occasional surveys to earn some easy money.

There aren’t a lot of surveys, but they add up over time. The withdrawal threshold is only $5 and the transaction is instant.

They also approve your surveys quickly and credit your account. The credit shows up right after you submit the survey, but I think if you gave BS answers, you’ll get the credits removed.

And you get paid even if you don’t qualify and are screened out. It’s an easy way to earn some gift cards, but not quickly.

Regardless, the time commitment to payout ratio is decent when you do get a survey.

Overall, it’s worth a try.

Thinking about trying out SweatCoin? Wondering if it's legit? Find out everything you need to know in this complete review.

SweatCoin is a mobile app for Android and iOS that pays you for walking, running, and being mobile.

The app is advertised to reward users for being active and getting fit while getting paid for it, which is a nice way to motivate even the laziest person (or reward those who are already active).

Details

Type: Mobile app

Platforms: iOS, Android

Price: Free (with ads)

Registration required: Yes

Earning potential: –

Realistic earning average: –

Time commitment: –

Estimated earnings per hour: –

Download the app: Android or iOS

See the official page

Overall score: 5/10 (Average)

SweatCoin is a legitimate app that rewards you for being active, but the prizes offered are lackluster and there’s no easy way to convert your coins to real cash. There are also problems with the steps-to-coin conversion algorithm and any decent prize is priced too highly. This is not an easy way to earn money or prizes and only should be used for those who are already active, or need a low-incentive motivator.

How does SweatCoin work?

The app works by tracking your steps and converting them to a virtual currency called sweatcoins. The app tracks your movement by using your phone’s GPS and a custom algorithm that measures and converts your steps to the coin currency.

That’s one of the major problems with the app. The conversion formula seems to be all over the place.

For example, I walk an average of 12K steps a day (probably even more now because we all have nowhere to go). I use a cheapo third-party fitness tracker, my phone’s pedometer, and SweatCoin.

All three give me different readings, but the fitness tracker and phone are roughly within 1K steps of each other at the end of the day. SweatCoin, however, seems to shave major steps off the total.

Sometimes it takes off more than half of the total and upwards of 6-7K down from 12K. That’s significantly inaccurate and makes me think that the algo used is in need of some fine-tuning.

But on the other hand, the developers probably made it that way to remove all fake or unintentional steps.

This isn’t just my experience- if you read the reviews, both on the Android and iOS stores, you can see that plenty of people complain about the same thing:

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="715" height="224" src="https://howmuchcanyoumake.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/sweatcoin-legit.jpg" alt="SweatCoin doesn't convert to steps." class="wp-image-104" title="Does SweatCoin Pay?

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="715" height="224" src="https://howmuchcanyoumake.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/sweatcoin-legit.jpg" alt="SweatCoin legit?" class="wp-image-104" title="Does SweatCoin Pay?

The thing to keep in mind here is that if you’re already active, you can think of this app as a passive way to earn some rewards.

But if you’re exercising JUST for the sake of earning prizes using SweatCoin, you’ll feel ripped off. I mean, who wants to sweat outside all day after putting in that last 1K steps just to see 60% of their steps disappear? Especially when it was done legitimately.

How much can you make with SweatCoin?

Sweatcoins earned can be exchanged for various items from the marketplace. You USED to be able to redeem PayPal cash, virtual gift cards, and other random swag from their currency exchange.

So you’re probably thinking: Does SweatCoin give you real money?

Well, you can earn PayPal cash but only if you refer friends. Otherwise, you’re stuck with random subscriptions, or discounts for stuff you don’t need.

The actual good stuff costs way too much that’ll take you many years to earn enough Sweatcoins to redeem. So don’t count on it. You’ll probably give up by then.

But they’ve changed this now to simply discounts on prizes that require a subscription, or at least most of them. This is pretty lame and discourages a lot of users.

You can earn stuff like GoPro, Samsung TVs, and more. But not everyone can redeem this stuff as it seems to be geo-restricted. Other prizes are discounted razors, socks, clothing, and other stuff you can easily buy at the dollar store. Cash prizes are here and there, but limited.

All the prizes you could want aren’t there (phones, game consoles, gift cards, etc.). And the things that you DO want are extremely expensive. They also have “free trial” offers when you buy a sub to get something or get 50% discounts on products you’d never need. You don’t earn prizes. You earn coupons.

Another problem is that the prizes may disappear without notice as the developers try to figure out a way to keep users using their app while making a profit.

So that $100 PayPal you’ve been walking towards? It can disappear the next day. And it requires a friend referral just to get cash to spend on the things you DO want.

The other problem? The time it takes to earn a non-garbage reward is a long, long time. NO joke. For example, if you earn 30 coins a month, you’ll need to walk 7 months to redeem $100.

Your coins can only be used on subscriptions, discounted goods you don’t want, or super expensive prizes you’ll never earn enough for. Some prizes even ask for your bank details.

Are they paying us to walk and get fit? Or are they just selling our location history/

Users have been complaining about the crappy prize offerings forever and the company usually replies with the same copy/pasted response:

You’ll see this pasted over and over in the app reviews.

They state that they’re constantly working hard to find new offers from marketplace vendors, but this has yet to happen.

So the amount you can earn with SweatCoin is largely dependent on multiple factors:

How many steps you walk per day

How the conversion algorithm decides to convert your steps

With these two variables in mind, you can earn next to nothing (a fraction of a sweatcoin) or 2 coins a day. It’s all based on your activity level and how the algo converts your steps to coins. Maybe after some time, you’ll figure out how to make it actually track your steps accurately so you can maximize your earnings daily.

Otherwise, you’re just being tracked and draining your battery because of GPS usage for nothing.

The app does utilize the GPS and you may notice your battery dropping. There are a ton of guides on maximizing battery life using various settings for those who use it all day. SweatCoin also uses the time and date of your device as a tracking data point.

The money you earn from SweatCoin isn’t real. It’s virtual. And everything in the store is pricey. Only the cheap junk is cheap, but it’s junk (duh).

For those who save up a ton of SC, they ask for personal details when you try to redeem, like your credit card or bank details.

Everything else is just a discount on something you don’t need or a subscription to something you don’t want. Why is it so hard to just redeem for a gift card- the prize that everyone wants?

They claim to have over 50M users, so why isn’t this a given yet:

So many users. So little rewards.

So it comes down to personal preference:

If you already walk daily and are active, SweatCoin may be a nice source of passive income ONLY if you have the mindset that you don’t care about the prizes. A decent prize doesn’t come easy.

If you’re looking for an app that pays you for walking, SweatCoin isn’t the best choice. The prizes don’t allow you to “pay” yourself for walking through gift cards or PayPal (unless you jump through hoops).

And you’ll also have to deal with an algorithm that constantly shaves off your steps. Plus, you’ll drain your battery quickly with the GPS running in the background.

Whatever you do, don’t download this app with the mentality that you’ll earn “free money.” it’s far from it.

But if you want to earn some virtual coins here and there based on a moody algorithm for some prizes that are crappy, then yeah, you should give it a try. It’s all about the mindset you come in with.

This is NOT an easy way to earn passive money. You may even spend more on electricity and time charging your phone from the GPS drain than you earn from the app!

Is SweatCoin worth it?

If you already walk around all day (retail, fast food, or service industry job, etc.) then you might as well download it, assuming you don’t already drain your battery at the end of the day. If you do, then skip it because this app will eat up the rest of your battery.

But if you’re not active and you want to either:

Be motivated to earn some small rewards/discounts

Want to make passive income

Then it depends. Are you doing it for the possibility of making money?

You’ll be disappointed because this app will take forever to pay out and make walking worth your time. But if you’re doing it to get those free small discounts here and there, then okay, it may be worth your time. Just like for those who are already active.

You need to download the app with the right mindset. Or else you’ll give up as soon as you find out how little rewards you get, or the crappy conversion rate, or how long it takes to get any reward worth your efforts.

Otherwise, I’d say you should skip SweatCoin for now- until they finally get their partnerships in order and have a marketplace where you can redeem actual cash or virtual gift cards.

With 50M users, why can’t they just go to Amazon or something and BUY gift cards for users? There’s no need for a “partnership” unless that’s their excuse for stalling.

Sure, it’s time-consuming, but I’m pretty sure there are ways to automate it or use an API to automatically redeem the GCs. There are plenty of OTHER apps that pay you in Amazon gift cards. And if they can do it, why can’t SweatCoin with such a huge user base?

Is it free?

Yes, the app is free. SweatCoin is ad-supported and I also assume they get a commission when you sign up for one of their subscription packages in their marketplace. And when you use one of their discount coupons.

So they’re taking in some nice affiliate commissions when you redeem stuff. Otherwise, for you, all you’ll have to see are ads that pop up. There are 30-second videos that get annoying very quickly.

Otherwise, the base version of SweatCoin is free. I believe there’s also a premium version that unlocks other rewards and faster ways to earn coins, but I didn’t bother signing up for that.

Is SweatCoin legit?

Yes, SweatCoin is a legitimate app that does reward users with virtual currency that can be exchanged for various items.

But the process of getting there takes a long time with an algorithm that doesn’t always convert your steps to the proper sweatcoin equivalent. The prizes are also not worth the time for most cases because they’re things you don’t need or require a credit card to sign up, which is a big no-no for most people.

Regardless, they DO reward, but not always in the most straightforward way possible.

Is it worth your time?

Again, that depends on your purpose for using it. If you want to make money, hard pass. If you want to get prizes for being active because you already have an active lifestyle, then okay, sure.

Or if you need some “motivation” in the form of coupons for various things you probably don’t need, then yeah, go for it.

Overall review

SweatCoin is a good idea, but poorly executed. It’s awesome to pay people in a virtual coin for walking and getting fit, but when there’s nothing to redeem with said coin, it’s exactly what it is- a virtual coin. That’s worth nothing. The prizes are lame.

And the good prizes take years to get- if they don’t change it and swap it for something else. The app also drains your battery with GPS and monitors you nonstop. And the currency conversion is hit or miss- or completely random.

Therefore, you need to decide on WHY you want to get this app first. Then go from there.

Wondering if Dice Royale is legit or how much you can make? Check out this complete review.

So, Dice Royale has had a long history behind it. You’ve probably seen their ads rehashed over and over.

When you look at the app page, the app currently stands at a praiseworthy 4.8/5 stars backed by 81K ratings. Sounds good and legit on the surface, right?

Well, I hate to burst your bubble, but reviews are only skin deep.

Let’s dive in and see if Dice Royale is legit. And don’t be surprised at an app that guarantees you’ll “feel like a mogul.” No sir.

Details

Type: Mobile app

Platforms: iOS and Android (removed)

Price: Free (with ads)

Registration required: Yes (email, phone verification, Apple ID)

Earning potential: $0-$1,000 per month

Realistic earning average: $0 per month

Time commitment: 14 minutes per day

Estimated earnings per hour: $0 per hour

Download the app: iOS or Android (removed)

See the official page

Pros

It’s free to play

You may be one of very select few that can actually cash out

Cons

Algorithm is rigged

Players stuck right below the $10 cash out minimum

No customer support

Suspected fake reviews

Overall score: 1/10 (garbage)

Definitely NOT worth the time invested. Too many complaints from players being scammed, stuck right below the payment threshold of $10, failing verification, no customer support, or otherwise denied payment. The game is not random and the algorithm is rigged to avoid payout. Dice Royale has also been removed from Google Play, probably because of similar reasons.

What’s Dice Royale?

So the app is a “game” where you basically roll dice. Pre-programmed dice.

This is FAR from being random as it’s a virtual dice roll every single time with layers of complex algorithms running behind the scenes. The game may seem like you’re just rolling random dice that land on random digits, but that’s far from the truth.

You’ve probably seen their ads. They show clips of people playing the game and showing off tons of their cash that they supposedly won from this app.

But if you look closely, you can clearly see that they just grabbed footage from some source (probably other people’s videos) and splice them together like a high schooler’s video editing. It’s very poorly made and they attempt to time the reactions of the players to the huge amounts of fake cash they’re winning.

There are also multiple versions of the ads. They all follow the same formula. They reuse the same scenes over and over again. But who cares about the ads, especially if they’re obviously fake?

How do you play Dice Royale?

Basically, the game has you roll a dice on a gameboard.

A single, large die sits in the middle of the board. It rolls a “random” number and your game piece moves around the perimeter.

Depending on the space you land on, you have the potential to earn cash. There are also other minigames like spinning a wheel or smashing an egg. All of these are the same thing pretty much. They offer you a small chance of earning some cash, but it’s far from being random.

Here’s why:

The minimum to withdraw your earnings is $10. When you first download Dice Royale, you’ll quickly earn your first few dollars like nothing. You’ll probably think this is legit and awesome and be surprised at how fast you can pick up money.

Once you get near the $10 mark, all of a sudden the game just gets “harder.” You no longer land on the winning spaces. The wheel never earns you any cash. The egg is useless.

You basically get stuck right below the minimum cashout threshold and can never progress.

You’ll earn anywhere from $1-$9 very quickly. But then you’ll spend months stuck at $9.20, $9.36, or $9.99- never being able to get that last roll to cash out and redeem your prize.

If you don’t believe me, just take a look for yourself at the most recent reviews for Dice Royale. The game is far from being legit. The algos are NOT random. They’re programmed to never (or rarely) pay out the closer you get to $10.

Of course, they HAVE to pay some players to keep the positive reviews and for testimonials.

So here and there, a few people will reach the $10 threshold and be able to cash out. Maybe everyone can, but the percentage is fixed. You could be playing for a year and still be stuck right below $10. That’s a huge waste of time. And that’s why this is a problem.

Their app description says “welcome to Dice Royale, where you’re GUARANTEED to feel like a mogul.” Just that should ring bells and set off all sorts of alerts in your head. Do you actually believe it? Who’s that naive?

It also says “now’s your chance to become a millionaire!”

Right. If it were that easy.

Yeah, okay. If it were that easy, everyone would be doing it. Do you honestly think you’ll become a millionaire mogul from playing a free app you downloaded online?

Well, maybe you can. But chances are you have better chances of winning the lotto. If YOU can become a millionaire from playing some random app, then that must mean the developers are rolling in it to be able to put out a million bucks.

If they made that much money and could support paying people off, you’d expect people to be able to redeem 10 bucks. There’s no logic needed here. Your scam radar should be screaming at you. And if you believe it for one sec, you need to calibrate it. #sorrynotsorry

So, does this mean you can’t win anything on Dice Royale?

Well, there are people who have withdrawn.

Some even multiple times. Others reported that they got their cash once, but were never able to do it again. Who knows. The developers could be changing up the formula to keep people guessing.

Does Dice Royale really pay?

Dice Royale does pay, but you’ll have a hard time getting to the threshold for minimum payment. That’s the main problem with the app- getting PAID.

There’s a very small percentage of people who roll their dice and get above $10 so they can redeem their prize.

Most people will be stuck under $9.99. Frustrated. With little chance of ever redeeming their hard-earned cash.

So technically, it does pay. But not everyone will be paid. It’s not worth the time it needs. You’re better off spending that on something that actually pays, like Press Play Slots or the OG version.

What happened to Dice Royale?

You may notice that the game is no longer available for Google Play when you try to access it. Right now, it’s only available on iPhones.

That’s because it was removed, probably from player reports of a scam app. This seems to be intermittent, and some countries are affected while others aren’t.

Regardless, that just goes to show that the game received a lot of complaints or violated some rules, so it was removed/deleted. No legit app would do that, unless it was being shut down.

Maybe soon it’ll be gone on iOS also.

Look at their advertisement on their home page. The grammar itself should be a clear sign of a shady app:

Oh man. I can’t wait to get my “simple, fast, rolling” on!

Is Dice Royale legit?

No, this app is more on the shady side.

With tons of people complaining that they can never cash out their earnings, there’s no point to waste your time rolling a die that’ll never amount to anything.

Other reports include players saying that customer support is not responsive, denied payment, verification problems, or simply being stuck right below the payment threshold. I wouldn’t recommend this app.

You may be wondering why it has such a glowing score (4.8/5) on the iOS Store. (I didn’t bother to check the Google Play Store but I assume it’ll be a similar story.)

This is simple: Fake reviews. Developers can buy reviews to keep their average score up and also drown out the negative ones. But if you just skim through the recent reviews, a lot of negative ones will take up the real estate.

These are the truth:

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="https://howmuchcanyoumake.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/dice-royale-fake-reviews.jpg" alt="dice royale fake reviews Is Dice Royale Legit?
And of course, NO response from the developers.

Is it free?

Yes, it’s free and supported by ads.

There are a ton of them that you’re forced to watch if you want to play. There’s nothing wrong with that, but the developers are collecting a ton of cash and not paying the players back. This is scamming in action.

Is it worth your time?

No, Dice Royale is hardly worth the time commitment.

The game’s dice algo is not random and you’ll waste time rolling dice that never reach the $10 amount.

So basically, you’re just wasting your time rolling for nothing and watching ads, which is making someone ELSE money. How do you like working for free?

Overall review

Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. While it DOES pay, the number of people that it pays is next to nothing.

Dice Royale is nothing but an illegitimate scam that will NOT pay the majority of its players.

Only a small percentage of people actually win anything, but that’s not enough confidence for me to continue putting time into something that is biased against cashing out. Spend your time elsewhere.

Wondering if Press Play Slots is worth your time? Find out how much you can earn and how the game works.

Press Play Slots is the second mobile app released by PressPlay. It’s an app that allows you to earn money through a randomized slot machine on a daily basis.

At the time of this writing, the game is currently in beta, which only lets you “level up” to 16 and then the game practically stops.

However, you can still some petty beer money until they launch the full game.

Note that this review is for the CURRENT state of the game, which pays poorly. After they release the full game, the earning potential may jump up and this review will be updated.

Also note: When you hit level 16 or so, you can’t play anymore until the next round of levels are released. The levels are just background pictures, but this brings you earnings to $0 as you wait for the next update.

Details

Type: Mobile app

Platforms: iOS (no Android)

Price: Free (with ads)

Registration required: Yes (email, phone verification, Apple ID)

Earning potential: $0-$750 per month

Realistic earning average: $5-$20 per month

Time commitment: 1-30 minutes per day

Estimated earnings per hour: $2 per hour

Download the app

See the official page

Pros

Legit app that pays

Doesn’t require any microtransactions

$25/day potential

Cons

Depends on a random algorithm that can take a long time to earn

You need to hit the right symbols TWICE to play a game with a potential to earn

Top places on the leaderboard are way above the averages- integrity issues?

Requires a lot of personal information to withdraw earnings, though some of it is required by law

Beta version locks you out after hitting level 16 and brings earnings to $0

Overall score: 3/10 (Poor)

Press Play Slots relies heavily on a randomized algorithm that can require a lot of time to make small amounts of cash. There are more lucrative ways to spend your time rather than chancing it for minuscule earnings.

Other notes: Again, the game is in beta. I expect prizes to jump up after they get a larger playerbase.

How much can you make with Press Play Slots?

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="714" height="326" src="https://howmuchcanyoumake.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/press-play-slots-app.jpg" alt="Press Play Slots user review." class="wp-image-56" title="Press Play Slots Review - Legit?
Press Play Slots allows you to make up to $25 a day if you hit the first spot on the leaderboard.

Realistically, you’re not going to get first place on a daily basis unless you have crazy reflexes. The way the game works is you spin a slot machine over and over until you land on a bonus game by lining up three of the right symbols.

This then launches ANOTHER slot wheel that gives you a randomized choice of three possible options:

Play a round of Orbz (the main way to make money)

A raffle ticket for Press Play (their other game- I guess the two apps talk to each other)

Coins (to continue spinning slots)

So technically, you can’t just make money by playing the slot machine all day. The app makes you FIRST land on the right combination of symbols. THEN you have to land on the Orbz game.

How does the game work?

Orbz is currently the only way to make money with Press Play Slots. It’s a minigame within the game where you have to press randomly colored circles on your screen.

Different colors have different point values. There’s also a multiplier to double your score for a period of time. And there’s a score bonus. There are also negative circles that subtract from your overall score.

You have to press as many circles as you can before the time’s up. Then your score is put on the global leaderboard compared to others. The leaderboard has a ranking system, with first-place getting a cool $25 and then decreasing from there.

Realistically, you’ll probably earn $1-$2 per day with this app. And it does take up time because you need to keep playing the slot machine until you score a bonus game and play Orbz.

Sometimes you’ll hit the Orbz game on your first try. Other times, you’ll be spinning for 20 minutes and get nothing. So it can be worth your time or it can be a waste.

This is Orbz. You press on the colored sphered to earn points. (Via App Store.)

One thing to note is that Press Play Slots forces you to allow access to your location. I guess this allows them to serve you targeted ads, since the game is fully supported by ad revenue. They make money by showing ads randomly when you’re playing the slot machine. And you can choose to watch an ad for more coins, which is necessary to continue playing the slots.

Each day, you start with 2,000 coins. You can only place a bet of 100 coins per spin, so basically you get 20 free spins daily. When you run out of coins, you have to wait a few hours for it to “release” more coins or you can instantly release them by watching an ad.

There are also “levels” which don’t grant you any powers or make the game any faster. You can’t earn more just by leveling up.

As far as I know, the levels do nothing other than change the background scenery from a beach, ship, and more random generic places. But you’re not playing it for the scenery- you’re playing to make money.

You can also collect artifacts that are added to your collection. There are over 500 of them in the beta, but again, these do nothing just like the levels and background. They don’t help you make more money nor bump up your chances of winning anything.

The leaderboard resets daily and technically you can win $25 per day if you hit first place every day. This isn’t realistic because the player base is growing and there are plenty of people who are quite fast with their fingers.

Orbz is all about being fast and accurate and I wouldn’t be surprised if people are gaming the system somehow since some of those first-place scores are crazy.

You can land on Orbz multiple times per day, but it doesn’t add up your score. Only your highest score for the day goes on the leaderboard.

Redeeming your prize

Similar to their other game, Press Play – Big Cash Prizes, you can cash out for a written check at $25. Or if you’re under the threshold, you can redeem for a gift card.

You’ll have to scan your driver’s license for age verification no matter how much you earn, so that may be a dealbreaker for privacy-focused players.

Additionally, you’ll have to fill out a tax form that includes your SSN, address, DOB, etc. if you make over $600.

These two requirements alone definitely make people suspicious. However, the IRS does require a 1099 form for earnings over $600, so the company is trying to stay compliant.

Is it free?

Yes, Press Play Slots is touted to be the developer’s first app that’s fully supported by ad revenue.

Unlike their first game, there aren’t huge prizes like the $10,000 monthly prize or $1,000 weekly prize. I guess they’re allocating all their capital funding to their first game and using it as a funnel to advertise their second game- given that there’s already an ad for Press Play Slots on their former game.

However, it doesn’t cost you anything to play for the chance to earn some “free cash.”

Is it legit?

The game is legit and pays you in gift cards or a check. Though the dollars earned per hour is low, you’ll still be paid regardless.

The company behind this app (Press Play Inc) is responsible for Press Play – Big Cash Prizes, which is a “real” and “legit” app that earns you cash for playing.

I’d be surprised if they released one legit app and one scam app after they’ve built up a positive reputation.

Is it worth it?

As of now, the game’s still in beta and the earnings are extremely low. There’s also a huge time sink if you can’t hit the Orbz game quickly because you’ll be spinning the machine for a long time because of the randomness of it. This is the kind of stuff that I hate. You keep playing with a random chance of earning a random amount.

Perhaps in the future as more people play and the developers earn more ad revenue, the game will be more worth it.

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="711" height="274" src="https://howmuchcanyoumake.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/press-play-slots-user-review.jpg" alt="A user review of Press Play Slots." class="wp-image-57" title="Press Play Slots Review - Legit? But there’s not much else to do for now.

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="https://howmuchcanyoumake.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/press-play-slots-developer.jpg" alt="Press Play app review." class="wp-image-66" width="391" height="76" title="Press Play Slots Review - Legit?
But in its current state, I wouldn’t suggest playing it and it’s hardly worth your time. You could probably find $1 on the street faster than it takes you to hit the bonus game.

Overall thoughts

Press Play Slots won’t be worth the time required for most people because of the randomness of the app combined with the average of only making $1-$2 a day. In its current state, the prizes are small but I expect them to jump up when more people play.

However, if you’re bored or you really have time to kill, you can make some easy money with the app.

What do you think about this app?
